5 Reasons Why Players Should Build Bronya in Honkai Star Rail

Bronya in Honkai Star Rail is arguably the strongest support character in the game. Her ability to advance an ally, increase damage, and remove debuffs allows her to be quite flexible and can fit into almost any team composition. There is one downside to Bronya in Honkai Star Rail and that is her very expensive SP (Skill Point) requirement to maximize your team’s damage potential. However, it can be remedied by adding SP-Positive characters to the party or meticulously planning your moves properly to conserve as much SP as possible. Here are five reasons why players should build Bronya in Honkai Star Rail.

1. Gives allies free turns or SP

There are two types of Bronya - the fast and the slow.  Based on SPD stats, her playstyle changes. Having a Bronya with a slower speed than her allies will allow you to provide an immediate free turn to any of your party members. Having a very fast movement speed, on the other hand, allows you to use basic attacks to gain SP before giving a free turn to allies on your next turn.

Some DPS characters like Blade prefer the slow Bronya to pull off two turns per round while Jingliu is fine with a very fast Bronya to provide more SP. 

Keep in mind that Bronya’s skill advances an ally’s turn instead of giving them a second turn in that round if she is ahead of everyone else. However, if Bronya is behind an ally in terms of SPD stats, her skill will provide a second turn for that ally. 

2. Very cheap to build for a 5-star character

If you are unlucky with Relics, you don’t need to equip a full set on Bronya to make her viable. As long as you can stack up CRT DMG stats on her, no matter the Relic piece, she is pretty much good to go. However, having a good set such as Messenger Hackerspace will also give her more value in the team.

3. Future-proof with no signs of being useless in the future

If you’re looking for a 5-star character that is less likely to lose relevancy in the future, Bronya is the perfect one for you. Her wide variety of buffs is simply a must-have for almost all team lineups. You can never go wrong with having damage buffs and speed boosts in your team.

4. Perfect for 0-Cycle MoC runs

If you want to try out and speedrun one of the late-game content in the game such as the Memory of Chaos (MoC), Bronya can also be a huge asset to have. Players can pull off insane combos and damage with the right usage of their turn advancement and damage boost.

5. 5-star Light Cone is F2P friendly

Similar to Gepard, one of the biggest perks of being part of the first lineup of 5-star characters in Honkai Star Rail is that their Light Cones can be very Free-to-players (F2P) - friendly. With a bit of patience and grinding, players can acquire Bronya’s signature Light Cone “But the Battle Isn’t Over” using Undying Starlight, a currency gained through the Warp System.
