Klee is one of the first characters that received a featured rate-up banner in Genshin Impact. She debuted back in 2020 and has received a lot of love from the developers through special annual events in the Golden Archipelago, story quests and more. The upcoming 3.8 update for Genshin Impact will also feature a brand-new skin for her and it might tempt a lot of players into pulling for her. If you are wondering if you should pull Klee in Genshin Impact 3.8, we are here to break down her kit and help you decide.
Note: You should consider our opinion only if you want to pull for Klee due to her damage output and gameplay. If you want to pull for Klee due to non-gameplay factors, then you should not let our analysis deter you from pulling for characters you like.
Genshin Impact 3.8: Should you pull for Klee?
While Klee’s damage output isn’t something to scoff at, her biggest problem lies in her poise. She can easily get staggered and you end up missing her Charged Attacks. She also does not have a lot of range due to her stature and attack patterns, which can be very annoying to deal with. In terms of strength, there are better Pyro carries out there who can dish out high amounts of damage both on-field (Hu Tao, Yoimiya) and off-field (Xiangling). With Fontaine right around the corner, we DO NOT recommend pulling for Klee.
Should you Pull for Klee’s Constellations?
If you are looking to use Klee as a main DPS, you should not be looking to pull for her Constellations as a free-to-play player or low-spender. However, if you are willing to use her as a support for high burst damage setups, her C2 can be worth your consideration. With a combination of Tenacity of the Milelith (artifact set), Thrilling Tales of Dragon Slayers (Catalyst) and her second Constellation’s Defence shred, you can get a massive damage boost for the next character that takes the field. For most people it is not worth it and she is a perfectly fine unit at C0.
C1 - Chained Reactions: Attacks and Skills have a certain chance to summon sparks that bombard opponents, dealing DMG equal to 120% of Sparks 'n' Splash's DMG.
C2 - Explosive Frags: Being hit by Jumpy Dumpty's mines decreases opponents' DEF by 23% for 10s.
C3 - Exquisite Compound: Increases the Level of Jumpy Dumpty by 3. Maximum upgrade level is 15.
C4 - Sparkly Explosion: If Klee leaves the field during the duration of Sparks 'n' Splash, her departure triggers an explosion that deals 555% of her ATK as AoE Pyro DMG.
C5 - Nova Burst: Increases the Level of Sparks 'n' Splash by 3. Maximum upgrade level is 15.
C6 - Blazing Delight: While under the effects of Sparks 'n' Splash, Klee will regenerate 3 Energy for all members of the party (excluding Klee) every 3s.
When Sparks 'n' Splash is used, all party members will gain a 10% Pyro DMG Bonus for 25s.
How does Klee’s kit work?
We listed Klee’s talents below. She is a Pyro Catalyst user who can deal consistent damage.
Normal Attack: Kaboom!: Klee is a Catalyst user and most of her damage comes from her normal and charged attacks.
Normal Attack
Throws things that go boom when they hit things! Performs up to 3 explosive attacks, dealing AoE Pyro DMG.
Charged Attack
Consumes a certain amount of Stamina and deals AoE Pyro DMG to opponents after a short casting time.
Plunging Attack
Gathering the power of Pyro, Klee plunges towards the ground from mid-air, damaging all opponents in her path. Deals AoE Pyro DMG upon impact with the ground.
Elemental Skill - Jumpty Dumpty: Jumpy Dumpty is tons of boom-bang-fun!
When thrown, Jumpy Dumpty bounces thrice, igniting and dealing AoE Pyro DMG with every bounce. On the third bounce, the bomb splits into many mines. The mines will explode upon contact with opponents, or after a short period of time, dealing AoE Pyro DMG.
Starts with 2 charges.
Mine duration: 15 seconds
Cooldown: 20 seconds (each charge)
Elemental Burst - Sparks ‘n’ Splash: Klee's Blazing Delight! For the duration of this ability, continuously summons Sparks 'n' Splash to attack nearby opponents, dealing AoE Pyro DMG.
Passive 1 - Pounding Surprise: When Jumpy Dumpty and Normal Attacks deal DMG, Klee has a 50% chance to obtain an Explosive Spark.
This Explosive Spark is consumed by the next Charged Attack, which costs no Stamina and deals 50% increased DMG.
Passive 2 - Sparkling Burst: When Klee's Charged Attack results in a CRIT Hit, all party members gain 2 Elemental Energy.
Passive 3 - All of My Treasures: Displays the location of nearby resources unique to Mondstadt on the mini-map.
We do not recommend pulling for Klee in Genshin Impact 3.8 and saving your Primogems for Fontaine’s new characters might offer a lot more value to your account.
