Purbiruni Commandment Genshin Impact 3.8 Quest Guide
The Purbiruni Commandment is the latest world quest added by HoYoverse in the Genshin Impact 3.8 update. The quest tasks players with acquiring the item called Sadife’s Case and reporting to Khedive at Sumeru City, one of the major regions in Teyvat. However, players must first complete various sub-quests in order to get an Akademiya Recommendation Letter which will kickstart the Purbiruni Commandment quest in Genshin Impact. Players will also encounter enemies while going through the quest so it is advisable to have a decent lineup of well-geared characters before starting the quest. Here is all you need to know on how to complete the Purbiruni Commandment quest in Genshin Impact.
How to unlock the Purbiruni Commandment quest
In order to unlock the Purbiruni Commandment quest in Genshin Impact, players must first complete these prerequisite quests:
Mycological Investigation in The Chasm
Paleontological Investigation in The Chasm
Hydrological Investigation in The Chasm
Completing these quests will result in the player receiving an Akademiya Recommendation Letter from Khedive. Only then will the player be able to start the world quest.
How to complete the Purbiruni Commandment quest in Genshin Impact
After complete the prerequisite quests, players must then head to the Akademiya located in Sumeru City using a waypoint.

Once you’re near the Akademiya, you will get a dialog from Paimon triggering the Purbiruni’s Commandment quest in Genshin Impact.
Head inside the Akademiya and talk to Researcher Iris, who is with another researcher Hawa. Iris will say you will need to find Sadife but does not say his exact location.
Search Sadife inside the Akademiya, and you will find him near the bridge.
Talk to Sadife, and he will ask you to find his Case. He lost this Case while exploring the desert while doing geological research.
Go to the marked location on the map northwest of The Dune of Carouses.
Go to the glowing point on the ground, and Treasure Hoarders will spawn.
Defeat all the Treasure Hoarders and obtain the Sadife’s Case.
Report back to Sadife, and once the discussion ends, report back to Khedive.
Completing the Purbiruni Commandment Genshin Impact quest, players will receive 20,000 Mora, 3 Hero Wit, and 150 Adventure XP.
