Kuro Game Studio’s latest RPG Wuthering Waves, has captivated thousands of players just from its closed beta, with many waiting for its full release, expected to arrive by the final quarter of this year. That being said, fans are already excited to know about all the various characters featured in the Gacha game, starting with Lingyang, formerly known as Awu, a well-known Captain of the Midnight Rangers who possesses Glacio powers and wields Gauntlet-type weapons. Let’s jump right in and delve into Lingyang’s attack types, stats, and more.

Everything You Need to Know So Far About Lingyang

While Lingyang’s origin story has not yet been unveiled, players who got access to the CBT2 were able to enjoy the character’s diverse combat skills and other abilities. This Glacio-wielding ranger is equipped with 5 basic attacks called Majestic Fists that can be performed in a sequence to deal significant damage to your enemies.

Here are Lingyang’s Base Stats (Level 1):

  • HP: 831

  • Attack: 35

  • Defense: 99

  • Crit Rate: 5%

  • Crit Damage: 50%

  • Max Energy: 125

However, what you need to know is that the third, fourth, and fifth attacks are classified as Resonance Ancient Art skills, which essentially means that after the 3rd attack hits the target the fourth makes Lingyang perform the Swift Punches Resonance skill followed by the Feral Roar Resonance skill as the fifth attack.

Additionally, Lingyang is also equipped with an ‘E’ ability, another Resonance skill which is essentially an enhanced version of the Feral Roar attack. While performing the 5-hit sequence, players can cast this ability anywhere in between, without breaking the upcoming chain of attacks, allowing you to perform a 6-hit combo on the enemy, adding an element of versatility and further increasing the amount of damage dealt.

Performing the aforementioned attack sequences will increase your Forte Circuit, which is located right above your health bar. When the Forte meter is filled, players can activate Lingyang’s Striding Lion powers, which transform all of his combat moves into mid-air attacks, plunging into hordes of enemies. The Striding Lion Forte will last for around 5 seconds but there is a way to increase its duration.

What makes Lingyang a formidable threat to enemies is his ultimate ability, the Lion’s Vigor, which provides a staggering 50% boost to his Glacio damage. This ultimate lasts for 14 seconds and it is further increased as you increase Lingyang’s level.

When you activate the Lion’s Vigor and then get into your Striding Lion state, your Forte Circuit will last for 10 seconds, doubling its duration. This means you can dish out loads of Glacio damage and challenge even the most intimidating foes with this character.

That is pretty much everything we know so far about Lingyang’s combat prowess in Wuthering Waves. Note that the stats for this character were provided by Prydwen.
