WoW Classic: What Is the Lesser Arcane Elixir and How Can You Get it in SoD?

World of Warcraft’s Season of Discovery Phase Two introduced several new items and recipes for players to incorporate into their builds. While most of these items and recipes can be unlocked by completing new quests in Gnomeregan, rare consumables like the Lesser Arcane Elixir can pose quite a challenge before you can reap its benefits  Without further ado, here’s how you can acquire its recipe and craft this damage-increasing elixir in WoW Classic.

How to Obtain the Lesser Arcane Elixir in WoW Classic SoD?

The Lesser Arcane Elixir is slowly becoming one of the best Mana potions in the game, specifically due to its ability to increase your overall Spell damage output, which will be effective against end-game enemies you will encounter in the Scarlet Monastery or the level 40 Gnomeregan Raid. Regardless of its name, this Arcane spell can be used by all spell-casting classes such as Mages, Priests, Warlocks, etc.

If you are an Alchemist, you can craft the Lesser Arcane Elixir using x1 Crystal Vial, x1 Goldthorn, and x1 Kingsblood. The Vial can be purchased from Trade Goods Vendors, Alchemy Vendors, and even Poison Vendors all throughout the world, whereas the Goldthorn is typically found on top of small hills in level 30 to 60 zones and requires your Herablism to be at 170.

The Kingsblood on the other hand can easily be found in fields or planes in level 19 to 50 zones with a Herbalism requirement of 125. They are found in abundance in the Stranglethorn Vale.

If you do not meet the Herbalism requirements, you can always purchase these resources from the Auction House found in numerous locations in the game. However, you must know that brewing the Lesser Arcane Elixir demands your Alchemy skill to be at 190 and above. Additionally, you also have to be Revered by the Supply Officers at the Azeroth Commerce Authority or Durator Supply and Logistics for Hordes to acquire the recipe for this potion. 

If you meet the aforementioned prerequisites you can purchase it for just over One Gold from several regions such as the Undercity, Darnassus, Ironforge, Thunder Bluff, Storwind City, and Orgrimmar. After successfully crafting the Lesser Arcane Elixir, you can now Increase your Spell damage up to +14 for 30 minutes. While it might not seem like much, this buff will add up to your overall damage output, helping you take down formidable bosses and elite enemies sooner. It also has an extremely low cooldown period of just 3 seconds and it can be stacked up to 5 times.
