Bethesda’s brand-new IP Starfield is all set to hit the shelves on 6th September with the early access starting tomorrow. Regardless of the hype and curiosity surrounding this space RPG, many might be wondering what the game offers in terms of gameplay and features. The studio has made bold claims regarding the game with a huge emphasis on exploration. The game will apparently offer a thousand planets to traverse. Although review copies have already made their way to several gaming organizations, they are currently under an embargo that restricts them from sharing their verdicts on the game.
When Does the Starfield Embargo Lift?
It is no doubt that Starfield has garnered substantial attention, especially from fans of Xbox and Bethesda Game Studios. While review copies are already out in the wild, they are all under an embargo until the 31st August at 9 AM PT / 12 PM ET / 9:30 PM IST. This is around 8 hours before the early access of the game goes live.
Bethesda is known for this practice where the embargo lifts right before the game goes live. There is not really a cause for concern as this has traditionally been the studio’s way of uncovering their games.
Players who have already purchased the Premium and the Constellation editions of the game will get to explore the vast world of Starfield in just another day. This means that they will jump right into the game just as the reviews drop. The game has already amassed a huge community and if everything goes according to plan, it might just be the second biggest PC release of the year, following the footsteps of Larian Studio’s Baldur’s Gate 3.
What Can You Expect From the Starfield Reviews?
As mentioned earlier, the game boasts over 100 different star systems featuring more than 1,000 planets. Bethesda’s Todd Howard has notified us that the main quest is around 40 hours long. Considering all this, we can expect most reviews to emphasize the game’s mechanics and initial impressions. Understandably, experiencing the boundless world of Starfield would require you to sink hundreds of hours into it.
