Season 4 of World of Warcraft (WoW) Dragonflight went live on 23rd April, bringing numerous enhancements like improved dungeon progression, brand-new rewards for PvP, Awakened Raids, and more. Besides the usual rotations, we also saw a few balancing changes, a major one being the overhaul of the Revival Catalyst, a predominant feature of WoW.
While its functionality remains the same as before, the new change makes it way more accessible, as your charges will now replenish much earlier than before, possibly allowing you to gain more Transmog sets that you might have missed out on.
The Revival Catalyst Charges Are Now Replenished Every Week!
As you already know, the Revival Catalyst is arguably one of the most important features in WoW, allowing players to convert non-set piece gear items and receive a set piece of the same item level in return. Although the charges for the catalyst have been reset to 1, One charge will now be granted once every week rather than every two weeks.
While it might seem like a small change, this will allow players to work on acquiring transmog and gear items relatively faster than usual, thanks to quickly obtaining one Revival Catalyst charge for all their characters every week. However, you can still only use this on the head, shoulder, chest, hand, and leg items to turn them into tier-set pieces that offer bonuses.
As always, there are limits to using the Revival Catalyst in terms of gear, as any item obtained from PvE or PvP within Dragonflight can be converted. This also includes Mythic+ items obtained from Dungeons and even items purchased with Honor and Conquest points. However, to get efficient use of the Revival Catalyst, we recommend that you save them for gear with a higher upgrade potential such as Champion or higher.
Your upgrade potential is further increased if you use Flightstones and Crests on these items. Thankfully, they are relatively easy to find, as all you need to do is complete proper content and finish quests. While Flightstones can be obtained early, earning Crests requires you to take on challenges that suit your gear level.
