Sony Will Bring Playstation Trophies to PC With Ghost of Tsushima Release!

Sony has implemented a new PlayStation overlay feature to Ghost of Tsushima Director’s Cut on PC.
After signing into your PlayStation account, this overlay will help you view your Trophies, Friend Lists, and your PlayStation profile on PC.

Sony has garnered high praise among PC gamers ever since they decided to port their PlayStation exclusives to Windows systems. Their latest announcement, Ghost of Tsushima Director’s Cut, is all set to debut on 16th May. While many are excited to play as Jin Sakai and explore feudal Japan, Sony has also unveiled plans to introduce a PlayStation overlay for the game.

This overlay aims to seamlessly integrate your PlayStation profile onto your PC, offering access to things like Trophies, Friend Lists, Settings, and more. If you are excited to jump into the game, here’s everything you need to know about this upcoming PlayStation overlay feature.

How Does the PlayStation Overlay Work on PC?

As mentioned in Sony’s official blog, the PC version of Ghost of Tsushima’s Director’s Cut will include the base game, the Iki Island expansion, and the Legends mode co-op multiplayer mode. Alongside all these features, players can also access a new PlayStation overlay, which will help them effectively navigate the online mode.

Ghost of Tsushima will be the first title to receive the PlayStation overlay feature, which will bring options to view your Profile, Trophies, Settings, and Friend List. Considering that the Legends mode supports cross-play, this overlay will help you seamlessly find and join your friends running the game on PlayStation 4 and 5.

This feature is available only on Windows PCs and can be activated from the in-game menu or by simply pressing “Shift + F1” on your keyboard. The overlay will showcase PlayStation Trophies for Ghost of Tsushima Director’s Cut, identical to the PS5 version. In addition to gaining PlayStation Trophies, you will also be able to earn the usual achievements from Steam or Epic Games Store, which means your trophy collection will certainly increase.

However, you need to know that creating or signing into your PlayStation account is necessary to access this overlay. Thankfully, this feature is not limited to the Legends mode in the game, which means you can access your profile, trophy list, and friend list even while playing through the single-player mode.

Overall, Sony’s decision to include this feature is warmly welcomed, as this breaks the walls of Console exclusivity, allowing gamers to fully experience quality titles as intended.
