Riot MMORPG: News, Expected Release Date, and Everything We Know About The Game So Far

Popular game development studio Riot Games is known for its esports-focused titles like League of Legends and Valorant which have amassed millions of players worldwide and it still continues to develop and shine through. For a while now, it has been rumored that the studio is working on a brand new MMORPG that is supposedly set in the fictional League of Legends world of Runeterra. Judging by past titles from the studio we can be quite sure that the forthcoming MMO will also be available free of cost. Riot makes its money mainly by selling cosmetic items like weapons and character skins, etc. This has been the case on most titles such as Valorant, League of Legends, TFT, Wild Rift, and more.

We really hope that the studio does not turn to the pay-to-win direction that several other developers have implemented in their games.

What Can Be Expect From the Game’s Story and Gameplay?

Most MMO players and LoL fans have agreed that the lore might be tied to the elements of Runeterra’s story and lore. League of Legends arguably has one of the most polished and complex narratives and lore out of any video game. Considering the success received by Arcane, it is highly possible that this MMO will take after the League of Legends lore.

Riot will most likely feature gameplay based on exploration and dungeon crawling. The studio has already talked about the end-game expectations which will supposedly feature dungeons and raids. As the end-game phase is one of the most important aspects of an MMO, we can expect the studio to create a very enticing and exhilarating end-game experience.
