Here's a list of the most hardest-to-reach PokéStops around the globe.

If you’re a Pokémon Go player, you have undoubtedly encountered countless PokéStops in your quest to catch ‘em all. Usually, PokéStops are found in areas that are accessible to all of the players and provide players with rewards. You don’t need any special means to reach the PokéStops, but there are a few PokéStops locations on Earth that are incredibly difficult for an average Pokémon Go player to reach. Let’s take a look at some of the hardest-to-reach PokéStops in Pokémon Go.

Hardest-to-Reach PokéStops

Pokémon Go: Hardest-to-Reach PokéStops Ranked

1. McMurdo Station, Antarctica

It’s no surprise that the hardest-to-reach PokéStop is located in Antarctica. Not only is it remote, you’ll find it plagued with snowstorms and extremely harsh temperatures of -35. If you’re a regular Pokémon Go player, it’s almost impossible for you to go there as it’s a restricted area and only government-sanctioned personnel are allowed to travel here. However, if you’re brave enough and still want to visit Antarctica to catch a few pocket monsters, the coordinates for McMurdo Station’s PokéStop are -77.84606,166.66061

2. Chernobyl Exclusion Zone, Ukraine

Known for its devastating nuclear disaster in 1986, the Chernobyl Exclusive is an abandoned region. However, there’s a Pokémon Gym and PokéStop in this Exclusion Zone. Unless you have special permission, it’s unlikely for you to access this PokéStop. The coordinates of this PokéStop are 51.39172, 30.09539.

3. Chapel of the Snows, Antarctica

We’re back to another PokéStop in Antarctica. The Chapel of the Snows is a non-denominational church located in Antarctica. The Church was built in 1956 but was destroyed by a fire. It’s a unique site and quite challenging to reach due to Antarctica’s remote nature. If you do go there, you’ll find a PokéStop. The coordinates of this PokéStop are - 77.8500, 166.6665.

4. Hamhung, North Korea

We all know that North Korea is one of the most secretive countries in the world. With so many severe internet restrictions, playing Pokémon Go in this country is almost impossible. Despite this, there are a few places in North Korea where trainers can find Pokémon Gyms and PokéStops –

  • Hamhung, North Korea Tag: 39.91800,127.53998

  • Kimchaek, North Korea: 40.67426,129.19942

  • Chongjin, North Korea: 41.78671,129.78002

  • Pokestop in Jonchon, North Korea: 40.61146,126.47601

  • Pokestop + Kanggye, North Korea: 40.97138,126.58785

5. Only Gym in Antarctica

There’s a fully functional gym in Antarctica as well, and you’ll come across a PokeStop close to this gym. As we’ve already stated, if it’s in Antarctica, it’s nearly impossible to access, and it’s the same for this PokéStop.

And that’s the top 5 hardest-to-reach PokéStops in Pokémon Go. While they are inaccessible for a vast majority of players, they add an element of mystery to the game.
