With so many spawns during the Spotlight Hour event, it is a great time to go shiny hunting but players need to keep in mind that shiny rates will not be boosted during the event.

You can enjoy a bonus of double XP for catching Pokemon from every species you capture during the Spotlight Hour. You can also get double Stardust, double evolving XP, Catch and Transfer Candy depending on the bonuses set up for that particular Spotlight Hour.
