Pokemon Go Six Star Raids are now live. Trainers can participate in bigger raids, ranging from 3-Star Mega to 6-Star Raids, and catch legendary and powerful Pokemon. Higher Star Raids are popular among the player base and this time around, Mega versions of Latios and Latias; the Eon Duo Legendaries introduced in Gen 3’s Hoenn region, will be coming back in Raids. Here is everything you need to know about how these high-level raids function in Pokemon Go.

Pokemon Go Six Star Raid event duration

The Pokemon Go Six Star raids are a part of the Pokemon Go Tour 2024 event happening this month. The event started on 31st January 2024 and will go on till 15th February 2024. Mega Latios and Mega Latias will be part of the 5-Star Raid Battles as well as the Mega Raids. Mega Latias will appear in the game during the Raid Hour on 7th February 2024 from 6 pm to 7 pm local time. Not all the raids during the event will be mega raids, many of the raids can be five-star.

How to deal with Mega Latias in Raids

Mega Latios and Mega Latias are Dragon/Psychic-type Pokemon vulnerable to attacks of the Bug, Dark, Dragon, Fairy, Ghost, and Ice types. You should try to avoid using Fighting, Electric, Water, Psychic, and Grass type attacks because they won't deal much damage. You’ll need to bring your strongest Pokemon to the battle. It is also important to select your team according to the boss’ weaknesses. You can field Mega Gardevoir, Mega Salamence, Mega Gengar and other Dragon-types with Dragon-type attacks, although you can also field strong Dark, Fairy, and Ghost-type Pokemon, to counter Latias.

Mega Gardevoir, Mega Salamence and Mega Gengar are great options in Pokemon Go Six Star Raids.

Trainers can group up with others to take on these raids. Once you defeat the raid boss, you will have a chance to encounter and catch it again. There are also Shiny variants of Mega Latias.

How to get Raid Passes in Pokemon Go

If you want to take part in a Raid Battle, you need to have a Raid Pass. Every day, you can obtain one Raid Pass by rotating the Photo Disc in any Gym. If you run out, you can buy a Premium Raid Pass from the Shop. You can also use Remote Raid Passes to join any Raid Battle that’s nearby and tappable from the Map View. Remote Raid Passes are available for purchase in the Shop or occasionally given away as freebies.
