Players will have to choose one of two Special Research paths; Diamond or Pearl.

Pokemon Go Road To Sinnoh Global event brings something for fans of Pokemon Diamond and Pokemon Pearl. The event will feature a Special Research story with branching paths where you can choose one of the Sinnoh region’s first partner Pokemon. You can also look forward to reward encounters with other Pokemon from Sinnoh including Spiritomb. Let’s look at what Pokemon will feature in Raids, Eggs and encounters in the Pokemon Go Road To Sinnoh event. 

Pokemon Go Road To Sinnoh event duration

The Road To Sinnoh event will go live on Monday, 19th February 2024, at 10:00 a.m. and last till Friday, 23rd February 2024, 10:00 p.m. local time. During the event players will need to pick between two paths; Diamond or Pearl. 

Diamond or Pearl

Trainers will be able to pick between a Diamond or Pearl badge. The badge you pick will determine certain rewards and bonuses. Players will be able select their event badge by navigating to the Special Research tab from Thursday, 15th February 2024.

Pokemon Go Road To Sinnoh gives you a choice between the Diamond and Pearl path.

Diamond Bonuses

Trainers who choose the Diamond badge can look forward to the following bonuses:

  • Encounter an Origin Forme Dialga that knows its signature attack, Roar of Time.

  • The Adventure Effect for Roar of Time will last twice as long.

  • Dialga Candy awarded in Pokémon GO Tour: Sinnoh – Global Special Research.

Pearl Bonuses

Trainers who choose the Pearl badge can look forward to the following bonuses:

  • Encounter an Origin Forme Palkia that knows its signature attack, Spacial Rend.

  • The Adventure Effect for Spacial Rend will last twice as long.

  • Palkia Candy awarded in Pokémon GO Tour: Sinnoh – Global Special Research.

Road To Sinnoh event: Raids

There are a number of Pokemon first discovered in the Sinnoh region,  appearing in raids during the Bustling Boardwalk and Toxic Digs habitat hours. Note that Pokemon marked with a star (*) may appear as Shinys. 

One-Star Raids

Ancient Grove and Geothermal Lagoon:

Sinnoh Unique Habitat encounters

Special Pokemon will appear in unique habitats during the event. You will encounter a number of different Pokemon from the Sinnoh region and for the first time in, you’ll be able to encounter Shiny Stunky in the wild if you’re lucky. A space-time anomaly will occur during the Ancient Grove and Geothermal Lagoon habitat hours each day. Here are the Pokemon appearing in each of the habitats:

Bustling Boardwalk

  • 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. local time

  • 2:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. local time
