The Pokemon GO Harvest Festival is upon us. The event brings with it some new Pokemon to catch and gives players a chance to pick up quite a few Grass-type ones. Players can also participate in Showcases at certain PokeStops during the Harvest Festival event. The event will run a total of six days, ending next Tuesday. Here is all you need to know about the Pokemon GO Harvest Festival. 

Pokemon GO Harvest Festival event timings

The Pokemon GO Harvest Festival started on Thursday, 12th October and runs till Tuesday, 17th October, till 8 PM Local Time. Three new Pokemon are making their debut during the Harvest Festival; Smoliv, the Olive Pokémon, and its Evolutions will make their Pokémon GO debuts during the event. You can use 25 Smoliv Candy to evolve Smoliv into Dolliv and 100 Candy to evolve Dollive into Arboliva.

Pokemon GO Harvest Festival: Field Research Tasks And Rewards

The festival features event-themed Field Research tasks and Collection Challenges. When you complete these Harvest Festival Field Research tasks you will get the following Pokemon during encounters:

  • Catch 10 Pokémon reward - Plant Cloak, Sand Cloak or Trash Cloak Burmy encounter

  • Catch 15 Pokémon reward - Pumpkaboo encounter

  • Catch 30 Pokémon reward - Pumpkaboo encounter

  • Use 5 Berries to help catch Pokémon reward - Smoliv encounter

If you’re lucky, you may encounter a shiny one for all of these except Smoliv. Showcases at select PokéStops during the Harvest Festival event where you can enter Smoliv, Pumpkaboo, or Gourgeist.

Harvest Festival Collection Challenge: Pumpkaboo

You will need to collect these Pokemon before time expires to add to your Elite Collector medal.

  • Pumpkaboo (Small): In the wild or event-exclusive field research tasks (Catch 15 Pokémon or Catch 30 Pokémon)

  • Pumpkaboo (Average): In the wild or event-exclusive field research tasks (Catch 15 Pokémon or Catch 30 Pokémon)

  • Pumpkaboo (Large): In the wild or event-exclusive field research tasks (Catch 15 Pokémon or Catch 30 Pokémon)

  • Pumpkaboo (Super): In the wild or event-exclusive field research tasks (Catch 15 Pokémon or Catch 30 Pokémon)

  • Gourgeist (Small) - Evolve Pumpkaboo (Small) by either using 200 Candy or trade evolution to reduce the required Candy

  • Gourgeist (Average) - Evolve Pumpkaboo (Small) by either using 200 Candy or trade evolution to reduce the required Candy

  • Gourgeist (Large) - Evolve Pumpkaboo (Small) by either using 200 Candy or trade evolution to reduce the required Candy

  • Gourgeist (Super) - Evolve Pumpkaboo (Small) by either using 200 Candy or trade evolution to reduce the required Candy

Harvest Festival Collection Challenge: Smoliv

You’ll have to catch a Smoliv and get enough Smoliv Candy to evolve it into an Arboliva. Here is all of the Pokemon you need to get and how to get them:

  • Smoliv - In the wild or event-exclusive field research task (Use 5 Berries to help catch Pokémon)

  • Dolliv - Evolve Smoliv using 25 Candy

  • Arboliva - Evolve Dolliv using 100 Candy

The event also includes bonuses where you can activate Mossy Lure Modules during the event which last for two hours and have a higher chance of attracting Pumpkaboo. Trainers will also receive additional Pumpkaboo Candy for catching Pumpkaboo during the event. Also during the event the following Grass-type Pokemon will appear more frequently:

  • Bellsprout

  • Exeggcute

  • Sunkern

  • Wurmple

  • Combee

  • Sewaddle

  • Cottonee

  • Petilil

  • Red Flower Flabebe

  • Blue Flower Flabebe

  • Yellow Flower

The Harvest Festival also offers the second part of the Ticket of Treats paid Timed Research. Players can access the Ticket of Treats Timed Research part two starting 12th October 2023, at 10 AM local time. Players can purchase the Ticket of Treats in the Pokemon GO store for $ 5.00 or equivalent pricing in players’ local currency. Note that the Timed Research expires, and all associated tasks and rewards must be claimed by Tuesday, 31st October 2023, at 8 PM local time. Pokemon GO is available for iOS and Android.
