Highlights
Pokemon Go has already introduced an array of events lining up the Halloween season this year. But, it has now also introduced the second half of the Halloween event.
The event will begin on 26th October 2023 and end on 31st October 2023.

Pokemon Go has been introducing new events left and right, adding to the excitement of Halloween. While the Harvest Festival 2023 has concluded, Pokemon Go’s Halloween Part 1 continues. But along with it, Niantic has also introduced Pokemon Go Halloween 2023 Part 2, which comes with a series of new items and a new Pokemon. 

This October, get ready to catch new and interesting Halloween-themed Pokemon. The much awaited shiny version of Zorua is also here! So we can definitely say that trainers are in for a ride this Halloween. In this article, we’ll take a look at all the intricacies of Pokemon Go Halloween 2023 Part 2. 

Halloween-themed Pokemon

Pokemon Go Halloween 2023 Part 2 Date and Time

The special event will commence with the end of the first part of Pokemon Go Halloween celebrations. It will begin on 26th October 2023, Thursday at 10 AM local time and end on 31st October 2023 at 8 PM local time. 


Pokemon Go Halloween 2023 Part 2 Themed Pokemon

During this event, players can catch a glimpse of the shiny version of Zorua for the first time. It disguises itself as a buddy Pokemon and can mostly be found in the wild. Other than that, there are two Halloween-themed Pokemon that players can catch:

  • Pikachu wearing a Tricks & Treats costume (debut)

  • Gengar wearing a Tricks & Treats costume (debut)

Other costumed Pokemon in this event are:

  • Vulpix wearing a Spooky Festival costume

  • Piplup wearing a Halloween Mischief costume

  • Pumpkaboo wearing a Spooky Festival costume


Pokemon Go Halloween Part 2 Researches

The event is also introducing exciting content for both Field Research as well as Timed Research. 

Field Research Tasks

After completing the Field Research, you will be able to encounter the following Pokemon:

  • Mismagius

  • Galarian Yamask*

  • Phantump*

  • Greavard

Timed Research

Pokemon Go has launched two timed research on 19th October 2023 which will run till 31st October 2023. In the first half of the event, players will have to complete tasks to encounter Pokemon introduced for Halloween, as well as Zorua, Stardust etc. 

During the second half, the research will focus on Spiritomb and its shiny version on a rare chance. Upon successful completion, players can also earn encounters with other ghost-type Pokemon.

  • Vulpix wearing a Spooky Festival costume*

  • Murkrow*

  • Piplup wearing a Halloween Mischief costume*

  • Drifloon*

  • Zorua*

  • Fennekin

  • Phantump*

  • Pumpkaboo wearing a Spooky Festival costume*

  • Noibat*

  • Gengar wearing a Tricks & Treats costume*

Pokemon Go Halloween Part 2 Raid Spawns

While players will be participating in raids, they also have a chance to capture certain Pokemon that will be available through it. The list is as follows:

One-Star Raids

  • Gastly*

  • Misdreavus*

Three-Star Raids

  • Gengar wearing a Tricks & Treats costume*

Five-Star Raids

  • Darkrai*

Mega Raids

  • Mega Bannette*

Lastly, let us take a look at all the Halloween goodies that you can acquire during this event. 

  • Additional Candy upon catching Pokemon with either Nice Throws, Great Throws, or Excellent Throws.

  • Additional Candy XL for successfully catching Pokemon with either Nice Throws, Great Throws, or Excellent Throws.

  • Chance to acquire Additional Candy upon catching a costumed Pokemon. 

  • On 31st October, costumed Pokemon will have a rare chance to give Rare Candy or Rare Candy XL when caught.
