Pokemon Go Fest 2024 is coming soon with a new Pokemon Fusion feature, three new Shiny Pokemon and global, and city-exclusive activities. Along with this, the fest will also debut Necrozma, who comes with two legendary forms. Over 70 Pokemon will appear during the event, along with special costumed Pokémon, bonuses, and more. Here is all you need to know about Pokemon Go Fest 2024.

Pokemon Go Fest 2024 Start Date

Pokemon Go Fest 2024 will last two days, starting on 13th July, 2024 between 10:00 am to 6:00 pm local time and on 14th July, 2024, between 10:00 am to 6:00 pm local time. The event occurs in two parts, the first will see in-person events in Sendai (Japan), Madrid (Spain), and the U.S. (New York City).

  • Sendai City, Japan:  30th May – 2nd June 2024

  • Madrid, Spain: 14th June – 16th June, 2024

  • New York City (U.S.): 5th July - 7th July, 2024.

In the second part, available to players worldwide, Pokemon Go will have bonuses such as Pokemon appearances according to habitats, raids with Espeon and Umbreon using accessories, and Ultra Beasts. 

Fest Bonuses

All Trainers will receive the following bonuses and rewards during event hours:

  • One-hour Lure Module duration

  • Field Research themed around the different Pokémon habitats

  • Surprise encounters in Go Snapshot, when taking snapshots during the event, you never know who might show up.

New Pokemon Variations and Shinys 

These Pokémon were released at the start of the event:

  • Espeon - Day Scarf (Psychic-type)

  • Umbreon - Night Scarf (Dark-type)

New Shiny Pokemon debuting with the event include:

  • Espeon - Day Scarf (Psychic-type)

  • Umbreon - Night Scarf (Dark-type)

  • Jangmo-o (Dragon)

  • Hakamo-o (Dragon/Fighting)

  •  Kommo-o (Dragon/Fighting)

Then, on Sunday, adventure through a free Special Research story to learn more about Ultra Wormholes and encounter Cosmog.

For all Trainers, special Pokémon will appear in four unique habitats, which will rotate hourly during the event:

Necrozma and Fusion debut in Pokemon Go Fest 2024

Necrozma is the Prism Pokemon who will be first seen during raids in the fest. After catching the Pokemon, trainers can either fuse it with the legendary Sunne Pokemon, Solgaleo getting you Dusk Mane Necrozma or the legendary Moon Pokemon, Lunala which gets you Dawn Wings Necrozma. Neither of these variations can be or transferred to the Professor.  Players can also encounter a Shiny one if they are lucky.
