Pokemon Go’s new season began on 1st September 2023, with Adventures Abound. It brought a number of items from the new Scarlet & Violet Pokemon to the game. As part of the Adventures Abound season, there are a number of Timed Investigation Research quests that give trainers the chance to get a Master Ball. This is the second instance where players will be able to get a Master Ball. Here’s everything we know about the Pokemon GO Adventures Abound: Master Ball Research Tasks and what you can earn by completing them.

Timed Investigation: Master Ball Research tasks and rewards

Players will need to complete the Timed Investigation by 21st November 2023, at 8:00 p.m. local time to receive the very best Poke Ball; the Master Ball. Master Balls are a much sought-after item in Pokemon Go since they guarantee a catch on any Pokemon you encounter in Pokemon GO, whether it be in the wild, through Lure Modules, after Raid Battles, or while using your Daily Adventure Incense. For players who cannot complete the Timed Investigation: Master Ball by 21st November 2023, a Special Research ticket that awards a Master Ball will be available to purchase. Here are the Master Ball Research tasks and rewards in Pokemon Go.

  • Catch 1,000 Pokemon – 8,000 XP

  • Win 60 Raids – 8,000 XP

  • Hatch 30 Eggs – 8,000 XP

  • Catch 100 different species of Pokemon – 8,000 XP

  • Make 120 Excellent Throws – 8,000 XP

  • Complete 150 Field Research tasks – 8,000 XP

  • Explore 50km – 8,000 XP

  • Spin 300 PokeStops – 8,000 XP

  • Earn 100,000 XP – 8,000 XP

  • Earn 100,000 Stardust – 8,000 XP

Rewards: 1 Master Ball, 3,000 Stardust, 20,000 XP

Most of these tasks are easy to complete if you’re a daily player. Using incense and lure modules liberally can help you catch the different Pokemon required easily. However, hatching enough eggs may seem like a challenge. So make sure you have a few incubators working for you throughout the duration of the event.

For the PokeStops, find a cluster of a few together and walk between them to get your numbers up quicker. Also note that if you claim all the rewards together after dropping a Lucky Egg, you can claim a lot of bonus XP in the game.
