According to information from industry insider Nate the Hate, Persona 6 will be available on both Xbox and PlayStation consoles, possibly on the same date.
This information was corroborated by Midori, a reliable Sega leaker who has accurately reported on the last two Persona games.
Persona 3 Reload, Persona 6, and the upcoming Metaphor: ReFantazio RPG could possibly be released on the Nintendo Switch 2.

Rumors about the next numbered entry in the critically acclaimed Persona series have been afloat for a while now, even before the release of Persona 3 Reload. While most of these speculations have been spotty at best, credible sources mention that Persona 6 will most likely be a multiplatform launch, which means Sega will no longer be signing contracts with Sony for PlayStation exclusivity. While this has already excited fans of the series, sources confirm that the game will be available on the upcoming Nintendo Switch 2 as well. Here’s everything you need to know.

Persona 6 Could Be the First Main Entry With a Multiplatform Release in a Long Time

YouTuber SpawnWave’s recent DirectXbox podcast featured industry insider Nate the Hate who has accurately reported on numerous game releases in the past, mentioned that according to the information he had heard, Persona 6 will be coming to Microsoft Xbox consoles. “I am not a 100% sure if it's like a day and date with the PlayStation version,” says Nate.

However, he also pointed out that the last two entries Persona 5 Tactica, and Persona 3 Reload have been multiplatform releases that launched on Xbox, PlayStation, and PC on the same day.

Nate adds “It may be a safe assumption to make that Persona 6 will be day and date Xbox and PlayStation”

To corroborate this information, Midori, a dependable Sega data miner and leaker chimed in on the aforementioned thread, mentioning that the details are correct and the game will indeed have a multi-platform launch, signaling an imminent PC release as well. Additionally, to the joy of many Nintendo fans, when asked about the inclusion of Switch 2, they responded with a resounding yes. Midori’s accuracy with the previous two Persona games has been spot-on, thus confirming their credibility.

While 2023’s Persona 5 Tactica was released for the Nintendo Switch, this year’s Persona 3 Reload was unavailable on the handheld with Atlus citing hardware limitations as the reason behind it. However, Midori has also mentioned in the past that both the newly released and the upcoming Persona games, along with the Metaphor: ReFantazio RPG, will be slated for a Nintendo Switch 2 release, whenever it launches. Of course, none of this has been confirmed by any other sources in the industry, so please take it with a grain of salt.
