What are Grindstones in Lies of P?
Weapons in Lies of P need to regularly be repaired as they deteriorate due to usage and when you block attacks. This is where the Grinder and Grindstones come in. Even as you first start playing the game, you’ll need to repair your weapons with the Grinder. You can upgrade the Grinder by playing up to the point in the story where you meet Venigni at Hotel Krat and progress through his workshop and get the Grinder Modification Tool. The tool lets you use any Grindstones you obtain. You can switch out different types of Grindstones by either talking to Venigni or at any of the Stargazers and select the "Switch Grindstone on Grinder" option to choose the one you wish to utilize.
You’ll find Venigni in the Venigni Works Control Room, after finding Pulcinella by defeating King's Flame, Fuoco. You can eventually obtain Grindstones from him. There are several different types of Grindstones. Each type will let you put a different status effect on your weapons when activated. Here are the different types of Grindstones in Lies of P.

As you grind (pun intended) and level up, you can unlock different types of Grindstone extensions for the Grinder.
Acid Grindstone - Acid Grindstone allows players to inflict corruption onto enemies and can be purchased from Pulcinella in Hotel Krat for 1000 Ergo after giving him the Incredible Venigni Collection.
Electric Blitz Grindstone - Electric Blitz Grindstone inflicts electric shock to enemies. It can be purchased from Pulcinella for 1000 Ergo.
Destruction Grindstone - Destruction Grindstone helps your weapons deal extra damage. These can be purchased from Pulcinella in Hotel Krat for 1000 Ergo after giving him the Fancy Venigni Collection.
Flame Grindstone - Flame Grindstone does fire damage to your enemies and it is a reward for defeating the Boss King's Flame Fuoco.
Indomitable Grindstone - Indomitable Grindstone improves your block and can be purchased from Pulcinella in Hotel Krat for 1000 Ergo after giving him the Incredible Venigni Collection.
Satisfaction Grindstone - Satisfaction Grindstone grants players an increase in critical rate when attacking enemies. These also cost 1000 Ergo.
