How to get The Butcher’s Meat Hook in Diablo 4

In a first of its kind, Diablo 4 and Call of Duty are collaborating to celebrate Halloween. As part of this crossover, players will have a chance to get The Butcher’s Meat Hook in Diablo 4 by playing Operation Nightmare in Warzone. The Butcher’s Meat Hook is a one-handed scythe cosmetic usable in Diablo IV. This exclusive item can be earned by fighting Butcher, a Diablo boss, in Call of Duty: Warzone 2.0. As part of the collaboration, Operator skins for Lilith and Inarius have also been released. How to get the Butcher’s Meat Hook in Diablo 4

The Butcher’s Meat Hook transmog item for Scythes in Diablo 4 can be obtained by playing Call of Duty: Warzone’s Operation Nightmare event during The Haunting in 2023. It can be done during The Haunting event in any of the special Halloween-themed playlists in Warzone. Follow these steps to get the transmog item in Diablo 4:

• Link your Activision account (Warzone) to your Battle.net account (Diablo) through your profile on the official Call of Duty website. 

• Go to the Operation Nightmare tab in Modern Warfare 2 and Warzone.

• Check your Tac-Map for locations to investigate unique entities somewhere in each location within night versions of Warzone. 

• You’ll see the Butcher’s spawn point marked with the symbol for an Altar of Lilith

• Approach the Altar and activate all the pillars.

• Take out the zombies that spawn to increase the Ritual Progress bar.

• Enter the Nightmare Portal that spawns in the middle of the Pentagram.  

• Take down The Butcher in either Al Mazrah and Vondel. 

• When the Butcher finally dies, he drops a Gold Skull item. Make sure to pick it up, exit the portal.

Once you take down the Butcher, you will get the transmog in your Battle.net account (Diablo). The developers have said that it can take up to four days to appear in your account. Players who want the transmog item need to kill the Butcher in Warzone before the event concludes on 6th November, 2023.

Other rewards in Diablo 4 x Warzone Haunting event include unique Calling Cards for use in Modern Warfare II and Warzone. Killing at least five out of the six monsters in the Operation Nightmare unlocks the Bloody Mess Mastery Weapon Blueprint.
