Darkrai, a Pokemon hailing from the Sinnoh region, will appear in five-star Raids from Thursday, 15th February to 20th February 2024. Additionally, the Raid schedule will include it as a Boss during Raid Hour on Monday, 19th February from 6 pm to 7 pm local time.
How to catch Darkrai in Pokemon Go
Players should look out for Darkrai to spawn as part of Raid battles between 15th and 20th February. You will need to either purchase Raid Passes or pick up one from Pokestops to participate in the battle. Once you’ve entered the battle with a few other trainers, you will need to defeat the Pokemon. Darkrai is resistant to Ghost, Dark and Psychic-type Pokemon and is weak against Fighting, Bug and Fairy-type Pokemon.
Fighting Pokemon like Machamp or Lucario are good picks against Darkrai. For those favoring bug-type, Scizor and Pheromosa are great picks. After the Raid battle is completed and you defeat Darkrai, you will get a limited number of Pokeballs to capture it. You can increase your chance of catching it by throwing Curve Balls and landing Excellent Throws.
Can I catch a Shiny Darkrai in Pokemon Go?
Yes, shiny Darkrai is currently available in Pokemon Go. If you encounter it in a five-star raid, you have an increased chance of finding it after beating the Raid battle. If you’re lucky, you may snag a Shiny Darkai.
