However, one needs to keep in mind that a weapon cannot be swapped while the player is alive.
Here is a step-by-step guide for equipping reserve weapons in The Finals.

Embark Studios, the creative force behind The Finals, has taken the gaming community to a new dimension. With its free-to-play first-person shooter The Finals, there is a lot to get into. From customized builds to unique weapons and gadgets, players are enjoying a great deal of what the game has to offer.

Naturally, choosing the right loadout to suit your playstyle is extremely crucial in the game. What if you are in the middle of your match and change your mind about the weapon you currently have? Well, then your savior is the reserved loadout feature.

Here's all you need to know about equipping reserve weapons in The Finals.

What Is the Reserve Weapons Feature in The Finals?

While players do make sound decisions pre-match when it comes to selecting the perfect loadout, they may change their minds while playing. A lot of games don't allow players to swap weapons mid-game. But The Finals reigns supreme with a reserved loadout that enables you to act quickly in the middle of the game.

Equipping reserve weapons mid-game allows you to take a tactical approach to the circumstances in front of you. You can change your weapons and gadgets easily. However, it is necessary to note that you can change your weapons only when you are eliminated and waiting to respawn. The feature is not accessible when you're alive.

With that out of the way, here is how you can equip reserve weapons in The Finals.

How To Equip Reserve Weapons in The Finals?

First things first, you cannot select random weapons during a match. While you are choosing the main weapons pre-match, you will also get a slot on the left side of the screen where you'll see other weapons. These are essentially your reserve weapons. So, if you believe a weapon is crucial to your game but not enough to cut the mark, you can reserve it, just in case.

To do so, hit the contestant's tab on the main screen and then select the option to edit your arsenal. Two equipment slots will be available: The primary one with all your main gadgets, weapons and specialization and the reserved slot.

Players will spot two equipment slots: one for primary weapons and the other for reserved weapons.

Equipping Reserved Weapons

Follow the given steps to equip reserved weapons while you are playing a match:

 • Stay in the game until the respawn screen pops up, while spectating your teammates.

 • A screen prompt saying "Change Loadout" will appear, accompanying a button prompt (Square on PS & X on Xbox).

 • Click the button to open up the loadout menu, showcasing your arsenal.

 • Now, choose the aspect of your loadout that needs tweaking. For instance, to swap your primary weapon for something from the Reserve. Pick your current weapon, then choose the backup weapon you had chosen earlier.

 • Now, respawn with your selected Reserve weapon or gadget.
