The long-awaited 1.20 Trails and Tales update for Minecraft is now available on all compatible platforms as of 7th June 2023. This includes PC, consoles, and the mobile version of the game, which many fans still refer to as Pocket Edition. Players may dig into Trails and Tales content right now, regardless of the platform they use to play this sandbox title.
Although this update is available on all currently supported platforms, downloading and installing it will differ depending on the device being used. For example, the Pocket Edition needs players to either automatically or manually upgrade their Minecraft client via an APK. Read below for steps on how to download and install the Minecraft 1.20 APK to play the Trails and Tales update.
Minecraft 1.20 APK : How to Update, Install
The PC version of Minecraft, as well as its Java and Bedrock Editions, can use a variety of programs to stay up to date. This can include the official launcher for this title, the Microsoft Store, or Xbox's PC Game Pass. Mobile devices, on the other hand, run minimal executable files.

Rename the downloaded file’s extension from “.xapk” to “.zip”

Create a new folder in the local folder system of your device, namely /sdcard/storage/emulated/0/Android/obb/<OBBname>/, where <OBBname> is the OBB file name itself without the extension
Copy the OBB to the folder you created
Install the APK file that you extracted

If you do all of the steps correctly but your device prevents you from installing the game, do the following:
Navigate to Setting > Security.
Check the option “Unknown sources“.
Tap OK on the prompt message.
Select “Trust“.
Depending on the mobile device, the 1.20 Trails and Tales update could be 40-50 MB in size, omitting the original game, which would bring the total to around 800-900 MB. So, if players have depleted their storage capacity, they may wish to do some storage cleaning on their devices.
