World of Warcraft Classic’s Season of Discovery (SoD) brings a diverse list of quests to the table, each offering unique rewards and XP upon completion. While most missions are fairly straightforward, some like the Corroded Core are tied up with multiple questlines, demanding you to explore the vast world of Azeroth and interact with numerous NPCs, all while battling enemies and farming resources along the way. If all of this sounds overwhelming, worry not, as this guide will walk you through the entirety of this expedition.
How to Obtain the Pristine G-7 C.O.R.E. Processor in WoW Classic SoD?
As mentioned above, the Corroded Core is tied into a series of missions, mainly the “Salvaging the Salvagematic” which involves repairing the Salvagematic 9000 to begin another chain of Crafting quests in Gnomeregan. To begin, you must obtain the Corroded G-7 C.O.R.E Processor by venturing to the entrance of Gnomeregan, located in Dun Morogh, northwest of Brenwall Village.
Once you get past the entrance and head down using the elevator, you will spot a level 40 Elite Techbot in the Loading Room as you walk past a passage. Defeating it will grant you the processor, thus allowing you to continue with The Corroded Core questline.
The quest begins once you turn in the processor to Ziri “The Wrench” Littlesprocket, who will ask you to collect the following items to fix the Salvagvematic 9000:
X10 Mithril Bars
X5 Greater Mystic Essence
X3 GG12-082 Cartridge Fuses
X1 Pristine G-7 C.O.R.E Processor
Mithril Bars and the Greater Mystic Essence can easily be obtained from Auction Houses, while the Cartridge Fuses drop from defeating enemy mobs inside Gnomeregan. On the other hand, Changing the Corroded G-7 C.O.R.E Processor into a Pristine one can be quite the challenge, as it requires you to traverse through multiple locations and farm various resources.
You need to traverse through Stranglethorn Vale and find Scooty the Chief Engineer Goblin at Booty Bay (27.0, 77.0). He will ask you to discover 4 of Wirdal Wondergear’s Quadrangulation Beacons that are located somewhere in Kalimdor. Here’s where you will find each of them:
Underwater in Dustwallow Marsh: 58.6, 12.9
Cliff Peak in Desolace: 32.0, 72.7
Besides a Tree in Feralas: 29.3, 93.8
Mountain Peak in Tanaris: 37.9, 27.2
After obtaining the Beacons, head back to Booty Bay and hand them over to Scooty, who will now teleport you to Wirdal Wondergear. Interacting with this Gnomeregan Refugee will begin a new quest, requiring you to bring a Charged Voidcore for him. You must head to Feralas and kill Caster Nagas, predominantly found in the southern part of both the Isle of Dread and Feathermoon Stronghold.
Once you obtain the Spent Voidcore, you need to continue killing mobs until a Shadowy Figure appears. Simply talking to this NPC will Charge the Voidcore and all you need to do after that is return to Wirdal Wondergear who will now grant you the Pristine G-7 C.O.R.E Processor, completing The Corroded Core quest.
