After a very successful beta test, The Finals officially launched on 7th December with millions of players queuing up to play. The Finals is a unique take on the battle royale formula with destructible environments with three distinctive game modes. The game supports up to three players in a squad, with a total of four teams competing with each other in a match. For players looking to have a good time with friends or wanting to add someone they enjoyed playing with, here is how to add and invite friends in The Finals.
How to add Friends to your party in The Finals
Inviting your friends to join your party on The Finals is a pretty simple process. Here's how to do it:
Launch the game
Go to the Social tab, found at the top right corner of the screen.
Select the ‘Add Friends’ button.
Enter your Friend’s Embark ID
A request will be sent to your friend, and once they’ve accepted it, you can invite them to your game simply by clicking the “+ invite to party” button located on the home screen.
Does The Finals support crossplay?
The Finals supports crossplay between PC and current-gen consoles like the PS5 and Xbox Series consoles. Crossplay is enabled by default in The Finals, and you can enable or disable it through Gameplay settings. The Finals was released on PC, Xbox Series X|S, and PlayStation 5 at the time of launch. Crossplay has become increasingly popular in free-to-play games in recent years with many new multiplayer games launching with crossplay as a feature or adding it some time during the game’s lifetime.
Before inviting players using other platforms, it’s crucial to ensure that crossplay is enabled. The setting is enabled by default, but if you’ve changed it at any time, you’ll need to come back and enable crossplay again. If you have turned off crossplay, here is how you can enable it again:
Open the Settings menu, found on the top right corner of the screen.
Navigate to the ‘Networks’ tab and toggle Crossplay on.
