Destiny 2 is currently in the season of the Witch and numerous players made reports of an insane glitch that allowed them to swap core weapons traits and make it insanely overpowered. Developer Bungie has not been shy of its mistakes and this time, they even decided to celebrate them by offering an emblem dedicated to this glitch. If you are wondering what all the fuss is about, you have stumbled upon the right article. Let’s take a look!
What Ruckus Did the Crafting Bug Cause in Destiny 2?
As mentioned above, the crafting bug allowed players to swap core traits of different weapon types. For example, you could slot in a shotgun’s characteristics to assault rifles to shoot 12 rounds per bullet with the accuracy of the rifle. You could also do the same with snipers, considered one of the craziest weapon “combos” one can ever imagine.
The dev team was forced to address this bug as a Coding Error and they actively worked on fixing it as soon as possible by taking advantage of the game’s Live Update process. Considering the fact that this is essentially a game-breaking bug, it was fixed in a relatively short time.
How Can You Get the Crafting Emblem in Destiny 2?
There are no specific prerequisites such as select game modes or objectives you need to undertake, as this bug is related to weapon crafting. You simply must have logged in and played through the game between 15th September at 9 AM PDT / 9:30 PM IST / 6 PM CET and 21st September at 10 AM PDT / 10:30 PM IST / 7 PM CET. This item will be a direct gift given out by Bungie and you need not enter any code to acquire it, as you will automatically see it show up in your inventory after the start of season 23. Heading into the Collections tab and navigating to the emblem should be enough to claim it.
Unfortunately, there are no other ways to claim the emblem as it is tied specifically to this notorious bug. However, the studio teased the fans with more events or items related to this bug, that will be released at a later date. Do take this information with a grain of salt as it has not yet been officially confirmed.
