Are you wondering how to get Mageweave in WoW Season of Discovery Phase 2? Here's a guide to help you.

There’s no doubt that the World of Warcraft (WoW) Season of Discovery has proven to be quite a successful experiment for the title. Whilst it’s not perfect, it has certainly revitalized the community and awakened a new love for the vanilla version, with many players seeking adventures and items in the beloved world of Azeroth.

With Phase 2 increasing the level cap to 40, Mageweave has become one of the most sought-after crafting materials in the game. However, the farming locations are limited, and it can be quite challenging to obtain this commodity. In this guide, we’ll reveal how to get Mageweave in WoW Season of Discovery Phase 2.

How Can You Get Mageweave in World of Warcraft?

You can get Mageweave as a drop from humanoid mobs between Level 40 and Level 51. The mobs that have a chance to drop the item can be located in dungeons and open-world zones. We recommend focusing on mobs that range from Level 40 to 45; otherwise, killing them will take a long and can prove to be quite dangerous. You can even team up with guildmates or friends and split the gold or loot after selling it at an auction house.

What Are The Best Locations to Farm Mageweave?

In WoW Season of Discovery, zones are contested, meaning Alliance and Horde players have no separate farming areas. You have to go against other players for Mageweave farming spots. Here are some of the best locations to obtain Mageweave –

Feralas

One of the best mobs you can farm Mageweave from is Gordunni Ogres, located in Feralas. They are usually level 40 or 31, and the drop rate is around 55%. You can also go against Grimtotem mobs that are Level 41 or 42, but they have a 42% chance to drop the Mageweave.

Tanaris

The subzone with Wastewanners and pirates in Tanaris is a good place to farm Magewavers. Wastewaters are Levels 41 to 45 and have a 35% chance of dropping Mageweave. On the other hand, pirates are Levels 44 to 45.

Stranglethorn Vale

Another great way to farm Mageweave is Southsea mobs south of Stranglethorn Vale. They are Level 43 to 45 and have a 40% chance of dropping Mageweave.

How Can You Use Magewave in World of Warcraft Season of Discovery?

Mageweave is one of the most useful items in Season of Discovery. You exchange it in your capital cities for reputation with home factions. It can be used for tailoring to craft Bolts of Mageweave, which you can then use to develop gear such as a Star Belt, Bags, Red Mageweave Pants, Filament Monocle, and other cloth gear pieces.

Engineers in this season also require Mageweave for Gnomish Mind Control Cap, Gnomish Mind, EZ-Thro Dynamite II, and Goblin Sapper Charge. Blacksmiths also need to look for Mageweave to craft Mithril Scale Gloves, Mithril Coif, and Ornate Mithril Gloves. Players with First Aid will need this item for bandages.
