Machine Gunners in Ghostrunner 2 will bombard you with blue projectiles that will instantly kill you on impact.
Using a Shuriken is by far the most efficient way to deal with these frustrating enemies.

Ghostrunner 2 is all set to launch in just a couple of days and numerous fans are gearing up to jump into its fast-paced cyberpunk world again. The game features new additions such as a motorcycle and improved skill trees which will help you on your quest to defeat a group of Cyber Ninjas. Similar to the previous entry, this game also contains brutal enemies who are capable of eliminating you with a single hit. Although most projectiles and oncoming effects can be blocked or parried, there are certain adversaries in the game who can really test your patience. One such enemy is the Machine Gunner who constantly bombards you with blue projectiles which can be daunting to dodge. Worry not, as we will take a look at how to effectively beat them.

Best Ways to Eliminate Machine Gunners in Ghostrunner 2

Ghostrunner 2 gives players the freedom to take their own approaches to fighting enemies. This means you get to plan your strategy when it comes to traversing through the landscapes and defeating enemies in the process. That being said, directly approaching a Machine Gunner through their line of fire is a surefire way to increase your death count. You can attempt to counter by advancing towards them from a niche angle and also by recognizing their reload patterns and striking at the right time. Here are other methods:

Using your Shuriken

Dealing with Machine Gunners can be a frustrating ordeal especially when you consider the fact that your primary weapon is a Katana, which is effective only in close-range combat. Using your Electric Shuriken is by far the best way to deal with them as it can stun your opponents, giving you more time to get in range and strike them with your word. Your throws are also unaffected by the depletion of your stamina bar.

Getting Skill Upgrades

However, you need to keep in mind that the Shuriken will be available to players only after finishing the initial quests in the game. To get through the early game stages, you will still need to rely on your parrying skills to deflect oncoming attacks. You can also take advantage of skill upgrades such as Smooth Moves and Smart Deflect, the former makes it easier to block projectiles while the latter will ricochet your deflected projectiles back to their sender and kill them.

Using sensory Boost

You can also make use of your Sensory Boost by holding down the dash button which is the Shift key on the PC and RB and R1 for Xbox and PlayStation respectively. Once this ability is triggered, it slows down the time allowing Jack to dodge oncoming bullets, strikes, and other projectiles. This will make it easier to get closer to the gunner and slash him down.
