Rockstar Games has finally released the trailer for its long-awaited GTA 6, hours ahead of schedule, all thanks to a trailer leak on X.
Wondering when GTA 6 comes out? Here's everything you need to know.

It's been over a decade, but Rockstar Games has finally unveiled the sequel for Grand Theft Auto 5, the generational open-world crime spree that has sold over 190 million copies. On 4th December 2023, GTA fans got the first official glimpse at Grand Theft Auto 6 in a trailer that came out a bit early, thanks to another leak.

Last year's leaks already confirmed some details about the next GTA title, but the game's first official trailer caused chaos. It's action-packed with store robberies, alligator attacks, street races, and much more. The trailer also introduces the dual protagonists getting ready for all sorts of crime and leaving their mark in Vice City.

If you're wondering when GTA 6 comes out, we've got you covered! In this article, we'll take a look at the official GTA 6 release date and everything else that has been revealed by Rockstar Games.

GTA 6: Release Date Details

GTA 6 Release Date: Rockstar Confirms Release Date

Well, we still don't have a release date for the game, but Rockstar Games has confirmed a release window for the game in 2025. There's no information for when it will be out in 2025, but don't expect the game to be released next year.

Although Rockstar plans for a 2025 launch, we all know that the studio is known for pushing forward its biggest games in the name of polishing them. In its last big release, Red Dead Redemption 2 was pushed back three times, and even GTA 5 was significantly delayed, slipping from its original spring release date to the September 2013 launch.

So, even if we have a release window for the game, don't keep your hopes up for a 2025 release, as history tells us that nothing is set in stone.

GTA 6: Launch Platforms Details

GTA 6 will launch on both PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series S/X in 2025. Rockstar Games confirmed this shortly after the trailer went online, outlining its plans in the official release. However, we still don't have confirmation of the PC version, and that's not something uncommon for the franchise. It's a typical trend for Rockstar, a studio focusing on console releases before moving to PC. If you didn't know, GTA 5 arrived on PC almost two years after its initial release, and RDR2 saw a PC port a year after hitting consoles.

And if you're still playing on a PS4 or Xbox One, an upgrade is due because it's unlikely Rockstar's latest title will be able to run on 12-year-old hardware.

And that's everything you need to know about GTA 6 Release Date. Be sure to follow us as we'll bring you the latest Grand Theft Auto 6 updates.
