Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 2 is finally out and brings a plethora of content for players to enjoy.
However, many players in the community are asking Epic Games to add a long-overdue feature that lets them play in peace.

Although the start of Chapter 5 Season 2 has been quite rocky, with countless delays and numerous issues with matchmaking and purchases, Fortnite has finally come out on the other side. The brand-new season brings a plethora of new content with the Greek theme and complete map changes. However, the game still has a missing feature: the option to set your status as offline.

Fortnite Players Demand Epic Games For ‘Appear Offline’ Feature

While Fortnite is a Battle Royale game best enjoyed with a group of players, there are days when you might want to appreciate the title alone. However, Epic Games hasn’t introduced a feature preventing players from sending a barrage of party invites.

In a Reddit post titled "Can we have an "appear offline" feature? Sometimes I just want to play solo in peace without having people bothering me.." user StrangeSPHERE demanded a feature to appear offline in the game. It's an incredibly helpful feature, as seen in other titles such as Valorant and applications such as Discord.

Players don't understand why the "Appear Offline" feature is not already part of the game. Fortnite has been out for years, and something as basic as this feature should've been an in-game feature already. Many players in the community want to play the game by themselves, without people spamming invites to them.

One user said, "It's been 6 years, this feature would be nice to have but instead I get invite spammed to play Zone Wars when all I wanna do is play stw"

Another user commented "We really do need this feature. I absolutely love playing with my nephew. He's the reason I started playing in the first place and I love it that he wants to spend that time with me. But sometimes I just want to play without him. And I have another nephew who has just started playing too and is all excited that we can do this together. I love these kids but I'd love to be able to play without them knowing I'm online.

Epic Games representatives are frequently seen on the game’s subreddit to get feedback or provide information to players on a range of things. So, it’s very likely that we will see this feature in Chapter 5, Season 2.
