Star Wars Outlaws Set for 30th August Release, Pre-orders Now Available
Following the leaks, Ubisoft showcased an Official Story Trailer for Star Wars Outlaws, further uncovering what Kay Vess’s story is all about. While we already know that the game’s events take place between the timelines of The Empire Strikes Back and Return of the Jedi, we now have more information on some of the locations and characters within the game.
Kay Vess will venture through the lawless underworld of the Outer Rim, trying to make a name for herself among other Scoundrels. While the Empire is distracted by its battle with the Rebellion, powerful criminal organizations like Pykes, Crimson Dawn, Hutts, and Zerek Besh are attempting to make millions through their activities.
In her pursuit of fame, Kay gets on the wrong foot with Zerek Besh’s boss Sliro, who has hired Outer Rim’s best hunters to capture her. While attempting to get away from Sliro, she meets a man named Jaylen, who persuades her that the only way to make it out of this situation is by pulling off one last job, which involves robbing the Zerek Besh’s fortunes, earning her ticket to freedom.
However, as Bounty Hunters track her down, they realize that Kay Vess is not just a simple Scoundrel with a Merquaal as her friend. Considering the appreciation for Star Wars games within the last year, it seems like Star Wars Outlaws is well on its way to becoming one of the biggest game launches of this year. Pre-orders for the game are now live across all available platforms, with three different editions; Standard, Gold, and Ultimate.
