Pokemon Go’s February 2024 Community Day is coming up next month and this time it will feature Chansey, the Egg Pokemon. The featured Pokemon will be available more frequently in the wild and in raid battles. The day will also bring a number of bonuses and evolutions of Chansey. There will be special Community-Day themed Field Research and PokeStop Showcases coming next month. Here is all you need to know about February 2024 Community Day featuring Chansey.
February 2024 Community Day: Chansey timing
The February 2024 Community Day will begin on Sunday, 4th February 2024, from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. local time. During this time, Chansey will appear more frequently in the wild. The featured attack for the day will be for Blissey, Chansey’s evolution. Trainers can evolve Chansey during the event or up to five hours afterwards to get a Blissey that knows the Charged Attack Wild Charge:
Trainer Battles: 100 power and guaranteed to decrease the User’s Defense.
Gyms and raids: 90 power
February 2024 Community Day event bonuses
Event Bonuses for Chansey’s Community Day are as follows:
2 x Candy for catching Pokemon.
2 x Chance for Trainers level 31 and up to receive Candy XL from catching Pokemon.
Incense (excluding Daily Adventure Incense) activated during the event will last for three hours.
Happiny has a chance of hatching from 2 km Eggs obtained during February Community Day. Happiny that hatch from these Eggs will have the same chance of appearing as a Shiny Pokemon as Chansey that appear during February Community Day.*
1/4 Hatch Distance when Eggs are placed in Incubators during the event period.
Lure Modules activated during the event will last for three hours.
Trainers will also be able to take a few snapshots during Community Day for a surprise.
Trades will require 50% less Stardust.*
One additional Special Trade can be made for a maximum of two for the day.*
The bonuses marked with a ‘*’ will be active from 2:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. local time, while the others will be available only during the three-hour event period. Happiny will hatch much more frequently from 2 km eggs. You’ll also have an increased chance of hatching Shiny Happiny.
Bonus Raid Battles after Community Day
After the three-hour Community Day event ends, Trainers will be able to take on special four-star Raid Battles. Claiming victory in one of these raids will cause more Chansey to appear around the Gym that hosted the raid for 30 minutes. Chansey will be appearing in four-star raids. You can only join these raids using Raid Passes and Premium Battle Passes. However, note that Remote Raid Passes cannot be used to join these Raid Battles.
Note that Chansey that appear under these circumstances will have the same chance of appearing as a Shiny Pokémon as those that appear during February Community Day’s three-hour event period.
