Epic Games Confirms Star Wars is Officially Making a Return to Fortnite!

Epic Games’ Fortnite is a title that’s known in the gaming world for its incredible crossovers. Previously, we’ve seen some of the biggest names from Marvel Universe, Family Guy, artists like Ariana Grande and Travis Scott, and so many more come to the game. One of the most loved crossovers is Star Wars, and Epic Games has confirmed that the iconic franchise is finally making a return to Fortnite soon! Let’s take a look at everything we know about this upcoming Fortnite x Star Wars crossover. 

Fortnite Reveals Upcoming Star Wars Crossover

Through a post from the official Fortnite account on X, the upcoming Fortnite x Star Wars crossover was finally revealed. 

Alongside the trailer, it’s also been revealed that the crossover is scheduled to arrive on 3rd May 2024, just before Star Wars Day. The trailer also confirms that the upcoming crossover content would make its way to LEGO Fortnite and Fortnite Festival. Although it hasn’t been revealed what skins and modes we can expect with the upcoming Star Wars crossover, data miners have already started digging around.

Fortnite x Star Wars 2024 Crossover Leaks

With the release of the currently ongoing Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 2, reputable data miners in the community found various Star Wars-related cosmetics in the game files. These cosmetics are expected to be released in the upcoming May crossover.

According to @HYPEX, the Fortnite x Star Wars crossover will bring a brand-new weapon called “Wookie Bowcaster” to the game, alongside skins for Rebel Leia Organa and Chewbacca. That’s not all; the Light Sabers and Force Abilities will also be unvaulted for players, and brand-new LEGO Fortnite content will be added. 

Fortnite Festival’s official X account also confirmed that John Williams’ Cantina Band will make its way to the Fortnite Festival on 3rd May 2024 as part of the crossover with the game’s new musical mode. Leaks have also suggested that we’re probably getting a Rocket Racing map and vehicle.

As always, it’s crucial to take the leaked information with a grain of salt. Epic Games hasn’t confirmed anything but the Star Wars crossover. We’ll probably get more information disclosed with the next Fortnite update, which is all set to launch on 30th April 2024.
