The highly anticipated Cyberunk 2077 Phantom Liberty expansion will soon hit the shelves on 26th September for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC. While many fans are speculating about the changes it will bring to the game, the studio recently went through a very strange encounter with the CEO of Tesla Motors, Elon Musk. the 52-year-old Billionaire reportedly crashed a cyberpunk 2077 recording session demanding to be added as a character in the game. Let’s dive right in and take a look.

CEO of Neuralink Crashes His Girlfriend’s Cyberpunk 2077 Voice Recording Session

In a new memoir featuring Musk, first spotted by TheGamer, there is a story where the Billionaire recollects this encounter where he described himself as “Armed, but not dangerous”

According to Musk’s own words in the book, he knew that his girlfriend Grimes was recording her parts for Cyberpunk 2077. She was also invited to check out the game before its release. Apart from crashing the recording session with an antique 200-year-old gun in his hand, he also “Insisted” on getting a cameo in the game.

Grimes was recording her voice for Lizzy Wizzy, who is an energetic chrome-skinned cyborg popstar in the game. She recalls that while this incident was occurring, she noticed the studio members sweating nervously looking at Elon’s behavior. Eventually, the devs relented, although they only added him to the game as an NPC and not as a fully featured cameo character.

Musk also mentions his reasons for pursuing a role in the game, saying that the cybernetic implants present in the game were a sci-fi version of his own attempts at Neuralink. He says “It hits close to home”. Apart from Musk’s shenanigans, we have to take notice of Grimes’s character, the in-game musician Lizzy Wizzy, who plays a significant role in the game. She gets her own questlines as well as her own two tracks Delicate Weapon and 4ÆM featured in the in-game radio.

Cyberpunk 2077 is on its way to getting two major updates in the form of the free 2.0 update on 21st September and the paid Phantom Liberty expansion on 26th September. CD Projekt Red is focusing these updates specifically on PC and the current-gen consoles meaning players who are on the Xbox One and the PlayStation 4 will unfortunately not receive these improvements.
