Unfortunately, Dragon’s Dogma 2 does not provide any options to conceal your helmet at the moment.
The game does offer helmets with an open face or adjustable visors if you wish to see your Arisen’s face.

Similar to most RPGs, Dragon’s Dogma 2 features an extensive character customization menu, allowing players to tweak even the most intricate features of their Arisen and Pawns. However, as the game advances, you unlock Helmets and other headpieces that end up covering your avatar’s face, undermining all efforts put into customization. Considering this, many players are wondering if they can conceal headgear while still enjoying the protection of its armor. Without further ado, let’s find out!

Does Dragon’s Dogma 2 Provide an Option to Hide Headgear?

Unfortunately, Dragon’s Dogma 2 does not offer any options to conceal your helmets or any headgear at the moment. If you wish to see your character’s facial features you would have to remove the helmet or any headpieces, even if that means sacrificing the armor it offers.

Although the first few headgears do not cover up your Arisen’s face entirely, you will eventually discover full-faced helmets that will conceal the beauty of your avatar. To counter this, you could use headgears that are either half-face or available with the option to open or close the visors.  Items like the Courtly Clothes Masquerade Mask come to mind.

How to Remove Your Helmet in Dragon’s Dogma 2?

To remove your helmet or any other head armor, you must navigate to the Items menu from your pause screen. Select the Head Armor tab from the categories on the top and select the helmet that you are currently wearing. Choose the Remove option from the dropdown menu and now your Arisen’s face and hair will be fully visible. Remember, that you will lose all armor stats and status effects that are associated with the helmet after its removal.

Where Can You Purchase Helmets in Dragon’s Dogma 2?

If you are ready to embrace function over form, you can buy helmets and other gear by heading to any of the Smithys or Armories found in numerous settlements that are spread across the massive open world of Dragon’s Dogma 2. Although your character’s facial structure will be concealed, it is a necessary sacrifice, as helmets amount to a quarter of your total defenses.

Additionally, you will also gain unique status effects and other passive buffs while wearing the helmet, ultimately enhancing your build. If you are running the game on PC, you might soon be able to install a "Hide Helmets" mod, as this seems to be a common concern amongst most players.
