Highlights
Contracts are put up on boards located in the Hidden Ones bureau located in four different districts of Baghdad.
Apart from Dhiram and resources, contracts can sometimes provide valuable rewards such as weapon schematics, favor tokens, and even outfits in specific cases.

Assassin’s Creed Mirage is the latest entry into the long list of Assassin's Creed games but this time, Ubisoft has attempted to turn things around by focusing more on providing a stream-lined AC experience to its fanbase. The studio has attempted to create a linear title inspired by earlier games like the Ezio trilogy and also borrow city elements from AC Unity’s Paris.

This title has breathed new life into the franchise which has shifted its focus onto incorporating RPG elements by filling the map with quest and activity icons, which can sometimes even feel overwhelming. That is not the case with Mirage, where players aren’t bombarded with things to do but rather undertake meaningful objectives that add to the overall lore of the game. Let’s delve into it.

How Does the Contract System Work in AC Mirage?

As you progress through the campaign, you will be devoted to your duty of serving the Brotherhood (formerly called the Hidden Ones). Basim’s entry into the brotherhood is when he takes on an overly ambitious quest after he predicts that it will pave his path into the group of assassins. Although Basim has joined the Hidden Ones now, we can still undertake these contracts and earn various rewards from them.

Assassin Contract Board

You will find these contracts on boards put up at all four Hidden Ones bureaus spread across Baghdad. Every board located at these bureaus will display all the contracts from the city, which means you will not miss out on any specific opportunities, no matter what board you are looking at. They are also separated into their own menu so that it does not clutter up your ongoing investigations.

Are There Different Factions in Contract Missions?

Every contract put up on boards around the city of Baghdad will be from either of these three factions;  Scholars, Merchants, and Soldiers. Each faction has its own color and symbol:

  • Scholars are represented by Blue

  • Merchants are represented by Green

  • Soldiers are represented by Red

There is quite a bit of diversity to these missions which usually range from assassinations to burglaries, rescue missions, and more.

All Contract Rewards in Assassin’s Creed Mirage

Completing a contract in AC Mirage will offer players with Favor Tokens from each faction they worked for. You can use these tokens later to earn powerful favors from each faction. You will get items for discounted prices at merchants, assistance in combat from soldiers or even clearing notoriety and gaining additional information about your assassination targets from scholars.

Apart from Dhiram and crafting materials, you might also earn rewards such as Skill points, weapons, upgrade schematics, and even outfits to customize Basim’s looks. Completing these contracts in between planning out high-tier assassinations can help you have an additional advantage in terms of gaining more skill points, upgrading your weapons, and such.

Furthermore, you can also attempt to complete contract requests which work in a similar way to achieving 100% synchronization in previous titles. An example of this would be completing retrieving an item without being detected or assassinating enemies without taking any damage. This will help you earn additional bonuses apart from getting contract rewards.

That is pretty much all you need to know about contracts in Assassin’s Creed Mirage. Check out our other guides if you find it difficult to understand certain gameplay mechanics.
