Here is all you need to know about Apex Legends anime skins.

Apex Legends has put out a number of anime-themed skins as part of their collection events. Respawn added a number of Apex Legends anime skins to the Gaiden event in July 2022. These anime skins, like other cosmetics, could be purchased for a limited time using Apex Coins, or crafted using in-game Crafting Material for the duration of the event. Here is all you need to know about all Apex Legends anime skins and what they are based on.

All Apex Legends anime skins

1. Wattson – Naruto (Naruto)

Wattson's Gaiden event skin is based on Naruto.

Lightning Spirit Wattson swapped out the blue and white in her outfit for green and black. The patches on her jacket have also been swapped out for something resembling Sharingan of the Uchiha clan. You can also spot some ninja stars if you look at her outfit closely.

2. Octane – Luffy (One Piece)

All Apex Legends Anime Skins: Octane is modeled after Luffy

Sea Legs Octane is an ode to one of the most beloved pirates in all of anime. Sea Legs Octane sports a version of Luffy’s iconic straw hat and his red and blue ensemble of an open vest and jean shorts.

3. Mirage – Izuku Midoriya (My Hero Academia)

Mirage is an homage to Deku.

Marked Man Mirage is a direct reference to Izuku Midoriya or Deku, the protagonist from (My Hero Academia. While his suit has slightly different colors, his green hair and white mask ties the skin nicely to Izuku Midoriya.

4. Revenant – Unit 09 (Neon Genesis Evangelion)

Revenant references Evangelion Mark.09.

Revelations Revenant references Evangelion Mark.09, which first appeared in Evangelion 3.0. The white and yellow evokes Unit 09 perfectly, with both Evangelion Mark.09 and Revenant wielding a scythe as their weapon of choice and heirloom respectively.

5. Fuse – Edward Elric (Fullmetal Alchemist)

Fuse's story and getup resembles Edward Elric.

The earnable rewards for the Gaiden event in Apex included Fuse’s Down Thunder skin, a loose reference to Edward Elric from Fullmetal Alchemist. The red vest and blonde hair is a nice reference to Edward’s coat. The metal arm that replaces the one Fuse lost to Maggie also mirrors the events in the anime where Edward loses his right arm for his brother's soul and replaces it with automail.

6. Bloodhound – Ken Kaneki (Tokyo Ghoul)

Bloodhound's eye is an unmistakable callback to Kaneki from Tokyo Ghoul.

The Lifeblood Bloodhound makes things dark with its black-heavy color palette. The white hair is a great callback to Kaneki’s and the single red lens is a reference to the one-eyed ghoul.

7. Seer – Tuxedo Mask (Sailor Moon)

Seer’s Gaiden event skin is a reference to Mamoru Chiba or Tuxedo Mask from Sailor Moon. The black ensemble also features his iconic mask.

8. Crypto – Goku (Dragon Ball Z)

Crypto's outfit is a reference to the classic Dragon Ball Z.

The orange and blue are evocative of Goku Gi while the blond hair and blue eyes are similar to Goku in his Super Saiyan form.

9. Bangalore – Sailor Mars (Sailor Moon)

Bangalore's version of Sailor Mars has violet-blue hair, a reference to the character's early depictions.

Soldier of Justice Bangalore is a reference to Sailor Mars. The violet-blue hair might seem out of place but it refers to Mars’ violet eyes. While Sailor Mars sports black hair (with purple highlights) in the anime, in the manga her hair is seen as more purple.
