Gold is a highly valuable resource in Diablo 4, yet acquiring a large amount of it can be challenging. You'll require a lot of gold as you move through the game, whether you're refunding skill points, adding Legendary Aspects, or Enchanting your armor. While there are numerous ways to obtain gold, you won't be able to stick to just one and swiftly farm up tonnes of gold.
Building up a Gold reserve is simple in Diablo 4, and most players may become millionaires by Act 2. Of course, your wealth will differ depending on your game style and desire to farm loot.
How to Farm Diablo 4 Gold
Selling every Rare (yellow) and Magic (blue) item that drops is the most effective way to farm gold. Pick up everything, return to town when your inventory is depleted, and sell everything. You will acquire a lot of gold this way, but you will not gain any materials from salvaging.
This is a trade-off that you must evaluate whether it is worthwhile to pursue. If you are in severe need of gold and have a surplus of materials, it is definitely worthwhile to sell your loot. However, if your material supply is running low, salvaging Rare items and selling Magic ones for profit may be a better option.
Buy and Sell Gold in Sanctuary, The Official Diablo 4 Discord Server
An alternative route is to utilize the WTS (want to sell) trade channels in the Diablo 4 discord server, located in the sidebar. The way it works is to first locate the WTB or WTS channel for your respective class. Then, post your item with a screenshot, as seen in one of the attached pictures (on mobile, sorry guys, I’ll clean up the post later).
From here, the bidding starts. People who are interested in your item will bid on it. It is then up to you when to decide what price is reasonable for you and sell, or buy it by purchasing the item.
If a conclusion is agreed upon, add the player in game, meet up with them, and double-check that the item has the stats you’re looking for.
A caveat here is that the items that sell for the most are referred to as “3/4”, which means they have 3 of the 4 affixes you are looking for on that gear slot, with the 4th slot being the affix that will reroll at the Occultist. Additionally, items that are iLvL 700+ are usually best since upgrading fully will put them into the 725 iLvL bracket, which means that they have access to a greater range of stats.
