When it comes to Valorant in India, it was in 2023 when the South Asian scene got a huge boost. Riot Games entered into a strategic two-year partnership with NODWIN Gaming to host the highly anticipated Valorant Challengers League South Asia. This became a big platform for Indian Valorant teams to showcase their talent. Additionally, a team from the Indian esports scene, Global Esports, made it to the big leagues, by qualifying as a partnered team in Valorant Champions Tour (VCT) Pacific.

With Valorant esports on the rise in our country, here are five Indian Valorant teams that you should be keeping an eye on (in no particular order).

1. Global Esports

Global Esports’ Brazil Visa Approved For VCT 2023 LOCK//IN

Global Esports became one of the 30 international teams that made it into Valorant's franchising system. It is a part of the VCT Pacific League where it competes against some of the best Asia Pacific teams in the globe. Global Esports, as an esports organization, fields teams in multiple titles but it rose to fame and glory quickly in Valorant after it acquired God Squad. You can follow the team as it competes currently in the VCT Pacific Stage 1, vying for a spot in Valorant Masters 2024 Shanghai.


2. Revenant Esports

Revenant Esports is also a very well known name in the Indian esports landscape and has been fairly successful in the Valorant scene. Highly acclaimed Valorant star Ganesh "SkRossi" Gangadhar joined this squad after parting ways with Global Esports. The team is currently participating in the Valorant Challengers 2024: South Asia Split 1 tournament. The squad is as follows:

True Rippers Esports is an Indian organization which was formed in 2020. It also fields rosters in BGMI esports, Call of Duty mobile and Free Fire, apart from Valorant. In the recently concluded Valorant Challengers 2024: South Asia Split 1 Cup 1 event, True Rippers placed second and scored 300 circuit points. This Valorant squad also boasts two of India's superstar players Debanjan "DEATHMAKER" Das and Sagnik "Hellff" Roy.


4. Orangutan

Orangutan BGMI

Orangutan is a household name in the Indian esports and Valorant network. The organization has been a part of this Riot Games title for quite a few years. While most of the original players including Vibhor and Ghost have become inactive, the team continues to rally on in Valorant Challengers in the South Asian circuit.


5. Medal Esports

Medal Esports is currently home to some of India spiciest FPS players including Karan "Excali" Mhaswadkar, Simar "psy" Sethi, and Vibhor. This squad placed 4th in the recently concluded Valorant Challengers South Asia Split 1 Cup 1 event and secured 200 points.
