Homegrown livestreaming platform Loco has been on a mission to revolutionize the Indian gaming and esports ecosystem. In the past few years, Loco has spearheaded campaigns and IPs that have put India on the global map and has achieved many laurels while doing so. One of the major shifts that we’ve seen in the Indian esports industry is the gradual change in how people, especially the older generation, perceive it. What used to be frowned upon and considered a mere hobby by parents and society has now genuinely become a career choice for many. Loco’s new IP “The MVP,” is aimed at highlighting the importance of parents’ support and unwavering confidence in their children.

Loco will feature Indian gaming personalities and their mothers in an all-new, exciting game show called The MVP, which will place both the gaming personalities and their mothers in each other's shoes, in what is essentially going to be a fun reversal of roles. While the mothers try their hand at gaming, the gamers will have a taste of what their mothers do as part of their routine. This is going to be a fun ride where our beloved gamers go up against their real-life MVPs - their moms.

What is The MVP?

Loco has always highlighted the impact of having supportive parents in its campaigns. In its Original series “Dream Karo Stream Karo” series, we saw prominent personalities like Sid Joshi getting encouraged by his mother Kirti Joshi to pursue his dreams. The main aim of Loco’s new IP – The MVP – is to divert from the stereotype of parents not being supportive of their kids’ dreams, be it streaming, casual gaming, or going pro, and focus on what it really feels like to pursue gaming without any doubts cast upon them from their families. A little support and understanding can go a long way and The MVP will be a testament to this fact and instill a sense of commonplace among other parents.

How will The MVP be structured?

Each episode of Loco’s The MVP will feature two to three rounds. While the mothers get to understand what their kids do for a living, the gamers will get to experience their mothers’ jampacked routine tasks including cooking, and grocery shopping among others. The episodes and the rounds will depend on the personality featured and what game they play. Loco vouched that the rounds will be fun segments with mini-games and will feature friendly content that will bring a smile to our faces. The trailer for The MVP showcased glimpses of what looked like ‘Truth or Dare’ played between the gamers and their moms.

Every in-game round will be a different one: one where the moms outline how they first reacted to their kids’ gaming career, another where they react to their kids’ achievements in streaming and esports, and also discuss how their lives took a turn for the better because of gaming.

Loco has currently planned four episodes of The MVP and the line-up for the episodes:

  • Tanmay “Scout” Singh

  • Pratik “Alpha Clasher” Jogiya

  • Harsh "Goblin" Paudwal

  • Kaashvi “Kaashplays” Hiranandani

The first episode of The MVP featuring Scout and his mother is already out and you can watch it on Loco.
