Some of these stories come together indirectly, while some champions are directly linked as blood relatives or siblings.
Cassiopeia and Katarina, Vi and Jinx, Draven and Darius, Yasuo and Yone are some of the siblings in the game.

League of Legends has a vast array of champions hailing from different parts of the universe of Runeterra. What binds all of them together is the fact that most champions are connected by their background stories and Riot Games does an incredible job of narrating a champion’s lore. The smaller details of the game make it much more interesting for the fans and help them develop an affinity for the champions that they main. With Riot delving into other creatives like the TV show Arcane and the Ruination novel, it is evident that it values these individual champion stories a lot. While some of the champions are indirectly connected, some of them are blood-related. If you have not read or paid close attention to the champion biographies in League of Legends, this list will detail champions who are also siblings, according to the lore.

Cassiopeia and Katarina

Noxian sisters Katarina and Cassiopeia

Katarina and Cassiopeia are sisters and both hail from the land of Noxus. They are the daughters of Noxian General Du Couteau. While Katarina displayed a natural skill for combat and followed her father’s footsteps, Cassiopeia was taken under the wings of their mother from a very young age. A quest to find godlike power in Shurima ended in despair for Cassiopeia, as she turned into a snake-like being by entering a lost tomb of an old Shuriman Ascended. Meanwhile, Katarina, who yearned to do her part for Noxus, disobeyed her father’s command and assassinated the wrong person. Following this, the general called for her execution at the hands of another protégé, Talon. Talon gave Katarina a scar across her face in combat and then fled. Katarina brandishes this scar proudly.

Garen and Lux

Garen and Lux from Demacia

Garen and Lux were born into the family of the prestigious Crownguards. Garen became known as a valiant warrior and has been given the title of “The Might of Demacia”. He also leads the Dauntless Vanguard. On the other hand, Lux holds the power to command the light and is called the “Lady of Luminosity.” Their story revolves around the siblings' understanding and acceptance of their destinies – one as a celebrated warrior and one as a powerful mage that wields her magic secretly.

Nasus and Renekton

Shuriman Ascendants Nasus and Renekton

Nasus and Renekton are Ascended brothers from Shurima who served emperor Azir. The term Ascended refers to all humans who were altered by magic. After their ascension, they can channel celestial magic through their connection to celestial entities, but do not gain celestial magic themselves. When they were humans, Nasus was a general in the Shuriman army while Renekton was a war captain of the army. As Nasus took sick after being struck down in combat, the priests declared him to be ascended. Since Nasus was sick and could not climb to the disk himself, Renekton carried his brother to the Ascension dais, unmindful of what would happen to him in the process. Fortunately, Renekton was not killed and the two brothers stood tall before Shurima as God-Warriors.

Kayle and Morgana

Sisters Kayle and Morgana

Morgana and Kayle were born on Mount Targon as the twin Aspects of Justice. Upon their mother’s departure, the twins and their father moved to Demacia where they grew differently as day and night. When a great blade wreathed in shadow and starfire fell from the heavens, it split into two, and the sisters grew feathered wings from their shoulders. They tirelessly worked for Demacia and became known as the Winged Protectors of Demacia. But Kayle grew more extreme in her ideologies, and Morgana increasingly found herself pleading the case of those who wanted to atone for their crimes. Morgana represented rehabilitation of the guilty and Kayle represented justice by fiery death. When Kayle rained down fire on Demacia, Morgana flew up to stop her, and in the ensuing calamity, their father was a casualty.

Yone and Yasuo

Yasuo and Yone from Ionia

Yone and Yasuo are half-brothers hailing from Ionia. The two were close when they were younger but a war that engulfed Ionia separated them. Yone was called away and younger brother Yasuo was left to defend the elders. Yasuo abandoned his duty to seek battle but returned home to find his master dead and he was accused of murder. Following this, Yasuo fled his home and was tracked down by Yone, who sought to bring him to justice. Yasuo was forced to battle Yone and eventually killed him in combat. Yasuo begged Yone for forgiveness but Yone died unaware of Yasuo’s innocence. Later on, when Yasuo goes to the Spirit Blossom festival in Weh'le, he is confronted by a resurrected Yone.

Darius and Draven

Noxian brothers Darius and Draven

Draven is the younger brother of Darius and they grew up in the streets of Noxus. The Blood Brothers fought anyone who came in their way, no matter how big or how much older they were. They both joined the Noxian army which did not discriminate and offered people to climb up the ranks according to their skills. After proving his power on the battlefield, Darius became a Noxian Military General. Draven, on the other hand, craved recognition and glory and became an executioner. A military coup led by Swain would bring the brothers together back in Noxus.

Vi and Jinx are the next siblings on the list. We have been on a journey with these two Zaunite sisters through the story of Arcane on Netflix. They were orphaned at a very young age and were taken in by father-figure Vander.
