Worlds 2021's semi-finals are set to take place on 30th and 31st October at 12 PM GMT.
Damwon Gaming will be going up against Korean rivals T1, which will probably be the most high-profile game of the event so far.
Edward Gaming will compete against Gen.G Esports with both teams making it out of the group stages with shaky performances.

DWG KIA, Edward Gaming, Gen.G and T1 will be competing in the League of Legends World Championship 2021 semi-finals this weekend. On 30th October, South Korea’s Damwon Gaming (DWG) and T1 will be facing off against each other and T1’s Lee “Faker” Sang-hyeok could potentially inch a step closer to his fourth Worlds 2021 win. Edward Gaming and Gen.G will compete on 31st October. Both matches will take place at 12 PM GMT.

T1 vs DAMWON Gaming

T1 and DAMWON Gaming are regarded as the top two South Korean teams by many and DWG is heading into the semi-finals as the reigning 2020 World champions. The team has not lost a single game in Worlds 2021 so far and the last time the team faced off against T1, DWG won the matchup 3-1.

T1 entered the event as third-seed but their performance at the world championships definitely proves that it can match up to DWG’s dominance. The team won its group stage and stunned everyone at the quarter-finals with a one-sided win against Hanwha Life Esports. Faker can potentially clinch his fourth Worlds title if he can help his team beat DWG and secure a spot at the grand finals.

Edward Gaming vs Gen.G

China was one of the regions to look out for in Worlds but Edward Gaming is the only team from the region left in the competition. EDG was considered a Worlds contender but it has been struggling and the team’s performance at the group stage was quite underwhelming. The team ended second place in the group stage and it struggled against Royal Never Give Up in the quarter-finals as well. The team managed to scrape through with a 3-2 victory and will be looking to step up its game against Gen.G.

Gen.G has had a shaky start to Worlds as well and struggled to qualify in the group stage. However, if the team’s last match is anything to go by, the team has finally found its bearings after its dominant 3-0 performance against Cloud9 in the quarterfinals.

Predictions: Edward and DWG are likely to win their respective matchups. T1 has already cemented itself as the most successful team in League till date but no League fan wouldn't mind seeing Faker lift yet another trophy as part of his coveted career.
