League of Legends Worlds grand final matches will be livestreamed across theaters in Europe this year.
Riot Games has an official website that allows fans to purchase tickets for the broadcast at nearby theaters.
The matches will be streamed from 12 PM GMT on 6th November 2021.

League of Legends Worlds 2021 is in its playoffs stage and fans are just two weeks away from finding out who will take home the Summoner’s Cup this year. Due to the ongoing global pandemic, fans have been missing out on in-person events and Riot Games is trying to remedy that by bringing the Worlds grand final to theaters across Europe. While it is not the same experience as watching the event live, it’s the next best option amidst restrictions due to COVID-19.

How to watch League of Legends Worlds at theaters

The Worlds 2021 grand final screening is exclusive to theaters in Europe and fans will be able to catch up on all of the action live on 6th November at 12:00 GMT / 14:00 CEST. The matches will be streamed live from the Laugardalshöll Indoor Sporting Arena in Reykjavík, Iceland. Fans who want to watch the matches live can head to https://www.lolincinemas.com/ to book tickets.

Riot Games has partnered with distribution company Piece of Magic and American theatre company National Amusements to make the event possible. The trend of airing esports events live at theaters is getting more popular amidst the COVID-19 pandemic as fans are unable to leave their homes to attend in-person events.

Worlds 2019 was also streamed in theaters across Europe

This is not the first time that Riot Games is partnering with movie theaters to broadcast its Worlds matches. A similar arrangement was made with European media companies to host the grand finals of Worlds 2019 which saw G2 Esports go head-to-head against Fun Plus Phoenix. Over 45 theaters broadcasted the 2019 finals in Spain alone and dozens of other theaters across Europe offered broadcasts of the event.

Earlier this month South Asian esports company NODWIN Gaming has partnered with Indian cinema exhibition company PVR cinemas to launch India’s first in-cinema esports live Battlegrounds Mobile India tournaments. The NA Valorant Last Chance Qualifiers were also scheduled to be aired at theaters but the event was suspended due to health concerns.

Not everyone will be able to watch the final at nearby theaters and you can tune into livestreams of the games via either of the following links:

Twitch: https://www.twitch.tv/riotgames

YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/c/lolesports/

The grand final matches will kick off at 12PM GMT on 6th November.
