India will be competing in CS:GO, Tekken 7, and eFootball 2023 in the 14th edition of the IESF WEC 2022.

The 14th edition of World Esports Championship 2022 (WEC) is all set to take place from 1st to 12th December in Bali, Indonesia featuring a total of six esports titles - CS:GO, Dota 2, PUBG Mobile, Mobile Legends: Bang Bang (MLBB), Tekken 7, and eFootball, with an overall prize pool of $500,000 USD (INR 4,08,34,975).

India has managed to qualify for three of these titles - CS:GO, Tekken 7, and eFootball, through the regional qualifiers and will be representing the country during the Group Stage of the main tournament.

More than 100 countries participated in the 14th World Esports Championship 2022 from multiple regions like Europe, Africa, PANAM, Asia, and Oceania. The teams from India have managed to qualify for the main event for three out of the six competing titles through the regional qualifiers.

CS:GO

Offline Qualifiers

  1. The offline qualifiers for CS:GO will be taking place from 2nd to 5th December with 31 qualified teams taking on each other in the group stage which will follow single game matches.

  2. The top two teams from each group will move ahead to the Playoffs, where they will be following a single-elimination bracket with best-of-three series and the top three teams will further qualify for the main tournament.

Main Event

  1. These three qualified teams will move on to join the five other teams that have directly qualified for the main tournament, scheduled to take place from 6th to 11th December.

  2. This stage will feature a double-elimination bracket where all matches will follow a best-of-three series, except for the grand final which will witness a best-of-five bout with the upper bracket team receiving a one-map advantage.

All matches will feature a best-of-one game and the top two countries from each group will proceed ahead to the Playoffs.

eFootball 2023

The eFootball 2023 will take place from 3rd to 10th December, kicking off with the group stage featuring a total of 68 teams split across 16 groups, where four groups consist of five teams each while the remaining 12 groups will feature four teams each.
