Apex Legends has 21 playable legends and some other non-playable characters in the Apex Legends/Titanfall universe. Unlike most battle royale games, Apex asks players to choose a legend to go into battle with and they all have their own abilities, strengths, weaknesses, and interesting lore. Once you get into the game's groove, you will start noticing small details about their personalities, which are brought to life by fantastic voice actors. Some of these voice actors have worked on more than one legend in the Apex universe, too. Allegra Clark is one of the voice actors who has worked on the game and has become quite famous in the community for her work in Apex Legends.

The Apex Legends community was very impressed by the fact that Allegra Clark voiced Bloodhound. If you have noticed Bloodhound in the game, you would be shocked to see how unrecognizable her voice is in the game. There are a number of effects that were applied to the voice recordings to achieve the metallic, grainy sound of Bloodhound’s voice, as they speak through their mask. Notably, as a seasoned voice actor, Clark has also worked in other popular games like Genshin Impact, Dragon Age: Inquisition where she plays Josephine Montilyet, Star Wars: Squadrons, World of Warcraft, and Last of Us: Part II among many others. Allegra Clark was a child TV star growing up and has done many commercials.

Bloodhound in Apex Legends

Bloodhound is known across the Outlands as one of the greatest hunters the Frontier has ever seen. According to the game developers, Bloodhound is non-binary and hence uses the pronouns they/them. Their real name and their age are unknown but they hail from Talos. After their parents were killed in a meltdown at their industrial plant, Bloodhound was taken in by their uncle Artur who taught them the Old Ways, a system of belief that focuses on nature and rejects technology. However, Bloodhound was always drawn toward technology and uses both the new and old methods to take down enemies.

In 2019, Allegra Clark took to Twitter to show fans how Bloodhound sounds without all the layers that were added to the voice during post-processing. She wrote, “Since some people were curious about what Bloodhound sounds like sans post-processing! Iirc [if I recall correctly] they knocked it down a half step or two, and I think that’s the pitch where I placed their voice. It’s hard to tell with the processing.

Some of Bloodhound’s voice lines in the game are:

  • I am Blóðhundr, you can call me Bloodhound.

  • What haunts you most is death. Something you no longer need to fear.

  • I will shed blóð and honor the Allfather

  • The old ways and the new, I will use both to guide us

Recently on Twitter, Allegra Clark was looking to find some of the characters voiced by her who do not say “ara”. Ara Ara in Japanese is typically used by women as an interjection and means “oh” or “ah.” She then jokingly wrote, “Okay fine Bloodhound does not say ara, I un-lose. FINE I will ask about adding an ara to my next batch of Bloodhound lines.
