In the second match of the best-of-three (BO3) series against FUT Esports, Evil Geniuses (EG) Kelden "Boostio" Pupello secured the first ace of the VCT 2023 Masters Tokyo while playing Sentinel agent Killjoy on Lotus. Playing from the cheeky destructible door between B-Site and A-Site, Boostio picked up four quick kills with the rifle and the last one with the Nanoswarm on B-site default plant.
Another Killjoy Ace on Lotus
In the electrifying series between T1 and NRG Esports in VCT 2023 Masters Tokyo on 13th June, Byeon "Munchkin" Sang-beom secured a clutch ace on map 1 (Lotus) of the BO3 series. With the help of his teammates, Munchkin was able to clear corners and pick off all the remaining members of NRG, picking up five crisp kills.
T1 Xeta’s pure domination inside Viper’s Pit
Munchkin was not the only T1 player who picked up an ace against NRG. Son "xeta" Seon-ho who was on Viper on the decider map (Pearl) picked up five back-to-back kills while playing within the limits of his Ultimate, Viper’s Pit. The scoreline was 10-10 and T1 was on the attacker’s side. With the spike ticking away on A-site, and with T1’s Jett and Harbor dead, NRG had the number advantage. However, xeta’s ultimate came in clutch as the player picked up an ace inside the green smoke, four on the rifle and one on the Shorty.
