Eight teams from the North American (NA) Valorant scene are still in the running with one last chance to make it to the Valorant Champions 2022 in Istanbul. The NA Last Chance Qualifier (LCQ) will see these eight teams competing in a double-elimination bracket with the greatest prize on the line: the last and only spot for North America at Valorant Champions 2022. From NA, the top two teams – OpTic Gaming and XSET – have already punched their tickets to Istanbul. The teams participating in the VCT 2022 NA Last Chance Qualifier were ranked third through tenth in the regional VCT this year.

The VCT NA LCQ marks the last leg of the Valorant Champions Tour, which will conclude with Valorant Champions in Istanbul, Turkey in September. VCT 2022 NA Last Chance Qualifier is all set to kick off on 4th August and the grand final of this tournament is scheduled on 14th August.

The highest seeds from the NA VCT will play the lowest in the opening rounds.
Double-elimination bracket
All matches except the lower bracket final and the grand final are best-of-three (BO3)
The lower bracket final and grand final matches are best-of-five (BO5)

This tournament is highly anticipated by the Valorant community with top seeds of the region fighting for the last spot. The Guard proved that it was the team to beat in Stage One but struggled to recover from its Masters Reykjavik performance. Additionally, the VCT 2022 NA Last Chance Qualifier also marks the return of Michael “Shroud” Grzesiek to competitive esports with him playing for Sentinels. The bracket of the LCQ will be played out between 4th and 7th August and will take a short break before resuming on 11th August.
