VALORANT Masters Berlin Day 9 Recap: Gambit and Team Envy to Meet in Grand Finals

VALORANT Masters Berlin is coming to a close with Team Envy and Gambit Esports competing for a direct slot in Valorant Champions.
100 Thieves will have to rely on Team Envy winning to earn a guaranteed slot at Champions, else it will have to compete in the NA Last Chance Qualifiers.
The grand finals will be streamed from 4 PM GMT on the official Valorant Twitch channel and the Valorant Esports YouTube.

Day nine of the Valorant Champions Tour is coming to a close and Gambit Esports will be heading into the grand finals to take on Team Envy. Many Valorant fans expected a rematch between Sentinels and G2 Esports but both teams were knocked out of the event but the EU vs NA rivalry is not over yet. Team Envy and Gambit Esports will be competing for the spoils of war tonight at the grand finals at 4 PM GMT.

Both teams will be determining not only their own fates, but also of other teams. If Gambit Esports wins, Fnatic will avoid the Last Chance qualifier and will safely be in third place in the EMEA circuit point rankings for Valorant Champions. If Team Envy wins, 100 Thieves will automatically qualify for Valorant Champions and will not need to participate in the NA Last Chance Qualifiers.

Match S1 — Gambit Esports vs. G2 Esports (2-0)

The all-European matchup was meant to decide which team will be representing Europe in the grand finals and it was Gambit Esports who took home the win. Despite trailing in the first half on Breeze, Gambit cranked up the pressure and took home the win. The second game was the most one-sided match in Valorant Masters Berlin, with Gambit taking home an unbelievable 13-0 win, something no team was able to do at the event.

Match S2 — Team Envy vs. 100 Thieves (2-0)

The matchup was the ultimate decided for which team would be representing North America at the grand final. While 100 Thieves started strong, it only took three rounds until Team Envy swinging the momentum in its favor. Envy took home a 13-5 win on Haven and a 13-8 win on Haven. 100 Thieves will have to root for Team Envy at the grand finals if it wants to avoid the Last Chance Qualifiers and secure an automatic qualification to Valorant Champions.

Team Envy’s Jaccob “yay” Whiteaker has the highest average combat score at the event currently, with an impressive 306.9. He is currently the only player above the 300 ACS mark and the MVP for Team Envy so far.

Yay also has the highest K/D Ratio in the event, with an impressive 1.70 for the records.

Jett’s popularity increased in the weekend with an 84% pickrate, cementing her spot as the most picked agent in Berlin.
