Valorant Champions Tour (VCT) Game Changers is a program that was created by Riot Games to provide new opportunities and exposure for women and other marginalized genders within Valorant esports. The competitive Valorant community is both diverse and incredibly global, and Game Changers is representative of the inclusivity of the community. After a year of intense regional competition, the world’s best Game Changers squads are, for the first time ever, convening in person where one team will be crowned the international champion. Between 15th and 20th November, the best teams from North America, Brazil, Europe, Middle East, and Africa (EMEA), Asia Pacific (APAC), Latin America (LATAM), and East Asia will gather in Berlin, Germany for the inaugural Valorant Game Changers Championship 2022.

Back in June, Riot Games announced the championship and said, “This event will see qualified Game Changers teams play through a double elimination bracket within a LAN setting. Each region was provided with slots based on the competitiveness of their region and their respective player population.

A Guide to Valorant Game Changers Championship 2022

The Valorant Game Changers Championship 2022 is the first global event of the Valorant Game Changers series and hundreds of teams have competed through regional competitions for a slot at the championship. A total of eight teams will compete in a double elimination, best-of-three (BO3) bracket until the best-of-five (BO5) Grand Final on 20th November.

Format

  • Eight teams will start in the upper bracket quarter-finals

  • The championship will feature a double-elimination bracket

  • All matches are BO3

  • Grand Final will alone be a BO5

  • X10 Sapphire - APAC Elite
