Acend took out Team Liquid without dropping a single map at the first semifinal of Valorant Champions 2021.
Acend will be going up against Gambit Esports in an all-European grand final for the first-ever Valorant world championship.
The grand final will be streamed on 12th December 2021 at 5PM GMT.

Team Liquid and Acend have been equally consistent throughout Valorant Champions but when the time came for both sides to face each other, Acend took home an unexpected one-sided victory. Team Liquid did not stand a chance as Acend won 26 out of the 37 rounds it played last night. Acend will have to defeat Stage Three champions Gambit Esports if it wants to take home the world championship tonight.

Valorant Champions Semi-Finals - Acend vs Team Liquid

After a shaky start to the competition against Keyd Stars, Acend has been one of the most dominant teams in the competition. The team secured 2-0 victories Team Envy and Team Secret, and it didn’t drop a map against Team Liquid last night either.

Map 1 - Bind (Acend won 13-6)

It was not Acend’s Duelists that carried the dominant performance, but it was actually Patryk “starxo” Kopczynski on Sage and Skye. Starxo secured a whopping 40 kills and had just 21 deaths throughout the first map. Acend is unstoppable on Bind and Team Liquid could do nothing about it as the game ended 13-6 in favor of Acend.

Map 2 - Split (Acend won 13-5)

Acend did not give Liquid any breathing room as the team continued to dominate on Split. Despite Adil "ScreaM" Benrlitom’s heroic for Team Liquid, including a round-winning ace, Liquid just could not keep up. Starxo was the star of the show once again, as he dominated Split on Sage.
